I have recently changed the daily network schedule to only upload between 2130 and 0600, but it seems to ignore that setting and upload whenever.  I have shut down the manager and restarted but it continues to upload just like it did before.  Do I need to do a reboot for the setting to take?  Edit.. nope, reboot didn't help.

thanks

I have never tried to limit the network upload time, BUT I will try after the FB Sprint has finished.
    Will let you know Monday.

I would have thought that the times set would be strict rules... interesting

Remember that some Projects go down for Maintenance like for me WCG is down for almost an hour around 1800 MST
You also will need to set this in Each BOINC Project that you run. You will also not get any new tasks if you do this.
    Are you using BAM! ?
Are you setting this in the Client under Network Transfer files only between
Or are you setting this up on the Project Side?

    Or like this https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewBoincProfileConfiguration.do?name=Default
One thing I know about WCG is they reset this one a week, I have 3 setting and every other week it resets back to only Default.
Computing preferences Under GPUGRID "Use network only between the hours of"

I can see you now on BAM!  https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-5/user/detail/15235338559

I set it in the Boinc preferences like you have the image of.  I was under the impression that local preferences took precedence over web settings.  I don't venture beyond the Boinc manager very often.  I'll go edit the GPUGrid web preferences as those large uploads are what kinda lock up my internet during hours that I am using it for other things.

They do by default, I would not mess with it on the Project Side.
Also GPUGRID downloads are Very Big and sometimes very slow to download.
If your internet cannot handle large files GPUGRID may not be a good Project to run.
Your upload to them is also quite large.

Yep, 100MB plus on the long runs.  I set GPUGrid to not accept new tasks while I'm trying folding again.  The scheduler never did seem to work.

Remember that the scheduler is not taking into account that a Project has no tasks to give out and when they do have task and you have the scheduler set not to getting any you are not going to see very many tasks.
I have found on GPUGRID that you need to set your Catch to at lest 1 Day 1 Day to even get any tasks and then you can only have 2 Tasks per GPU one running and one ready to start. Take that this in mostly with GPUGRID.

When I was playing with the project side settings, I don't remember it showing a time zone either, so I didn't know whether it was server time or my local time. I returned it to default settings after you recommended against it. I'm set to 1 day and 1 day locally now. I was 1 and 2. WCG had 30 or so tasks downloaded so I backed off that some.

If I recall all Project Sites are based on UTC time.
Use 1 day and 1 day Locally Only on GPUGRID and All Other Projects  0 day and 0 day Locally.
I do this so I can change from Project to Project when needed and also mostly on PG because First to Report gets the Prime if a Prime is Found.
