I smell an Ozark game in the works! ;) I just don't see how Netflix can pull this off. Don't get me wrong, they have cash for sure. But the competition is fierce and has had years of lead time on them. I guess they are looking to diversify as network tv and movie studios are pulling back the rights to their own shows for their own streaming services. Market fragmentation can be both a blessing and a curse for the consumer. Competition is great, but it also means you'll be subscribing to a variety of different providers to get the access you want from different corporations. Not sure how I feel about all of this.

A subscription for having X games at a time would be way more preferable than having to buy games that I am unlikely to play again. Like Gamefly but for PC (and preferably digital)

It'd be interesting for sure. Like another poster said, I think it'll unfortunately end up being a streaming service. It doesn't seem like that has worked too well for Google or the others that have tried it. Time will tell I guess.

probably gonna suck if it is a streaming service like stadia except if its just sub service where you download and play game for a monthy fixed fee which no developer wants dont look at xbox game pass microsoft 20% percent of its titles are microsoft owned gears halo forza etc. You know how much ms pays devs 50c per hour :D

Netflix doesn't have the patience for game development, they cancel tv shows more than the SyFy channel so I can't see them doing any better than Amazon is currently doing, and thats pretty bad.

Last few times I tried GameFly (back when I gamed mostly on console) it was pretty good. Only problem was all the new releases were hard to get unless you queued them prior to release date. If Netflix tries something like GameFly, I'd definitely give it a shot to save some $$ over buying games.

I think the people who are running Netflix have heard the phrase "the Netflix of games" and thought to themselves "Why isn't Netflix the Netflix of games?"
And why shouldn't they be? They should know a thing or two about streaming video. Can they solve the latency problem? Do they have the infrastructure to scale up a solution? Who knows but its not beyond the realm of possibility that they could crack this nut.
