The photos present a new card that will sport either 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The card has 10-phase VRM powered through 6+8pin power connectors (the 6-pin might be optional). For comparison, the GTX 1080 has only one 8-pin connector. It's wired to eight memory chips on three sides, confirming a 256-bit wide memory bus. So this should mean that it's just a matter of a little time before an announcement on the new gen NVIDIA card is made.

Nvidia would never make it that easy.

Looking at the pcb’s side by side, there is a lot of differences, but the generic founders block that EKWB make may work.

I guess we will see in a few weeks/months.

There are certification logos on the board. Beta release boards normally don't have this.

Interesting on the SLI fingers and looks like DVI may be dumped now.

I think he meant that there's no parts or labels on the PCB, so you can't tell what it's for. If the chip was there, at least you could see the code name on it.

Wow, yeah! Didn't notice that at first. It almost looks like a PCIe x8 slot instead of SLI!

It's because deeplinking protection on their server detects that you are trying to view an image from an article which you have never visited. Therefore, they block it.

For God's sake! If you want to post the image, download it, and then upload it to another host. Deeplinking protection will prevent the originals from being visible to anyone who hasn't viewed the article, no matter how many times you try to deeplink it, and no matter which browser you use.

    Here, a deeplink-free version.

For God's sake!  It has NOTHING to do with your browser.  If you have third-party cookies enabled and have EVER visited the specific webpage with your computer, you will be able to see the images fine.  If you HAVEN'T, you will NOT be able to see the images.  It's simple.  You THINK that the images you provided from your computer and your browser are displaying fine because somehow you have the magic touch which other people somehow lack, but check with a different computer!  Now you see the same problem which we see.  It's that simple.  It has nothing to do with you, your browser, or your computer.

Why the image looks broken is because, if you haven't visited the specific webpage (or don't have third-party cookies enabled), the image output turns into a webpage (instead of an image) with the following error message:

    Error 1011 Ray ID: 445056231a1954c8 • 2018-08-04 10:28:19 UTC

    Access denied
    What happened?
The owner of this website (cdn.videocardz.com) does not allow hotlinking to that resource (/1/2018/08/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-2080-1180-PCB-2-1600x786.jpg).

You can't see Rj's and CoolGTX's images?  Ok, now visit the link Rj provided to the article.  Now, reload this page.  Now you see the images!  Magic (not really!).

On the other hand, you can see mine and the_scarlet_one's images because we downloaded them, uploaded them to a different host, and then provided them to you from that host which doesn't have deeplinking protection enabled.

Guess what?  Your images are broken to us.  Why?  Because of the same deeplinking protection and the same fact that it looks unbroken to you because you have visited that website but looks broken to us because we have not yet visited that website.

wrong i have been to the site rj and coolgtx have put their links at

i can see the ones posted to the same pics from another poster..ie scarlets (same link as Rj and coolgtx)
including mine but not theirs - so that does not fully fit as the explanation

otherwise i would see those too

As far as "SLI fingers" --> new GPUs going to fully support SLI through the PCIe bus ?

What SLi? - the new link is NVlink

look at the photo again - you think the connection on TOP of the card is PCIe??

through the MB bus - Not - the fingers, and that was a question - not a statment

Is Nvidia killing SLI or have another better plan - "expanded" NVlink type of work around

under PCIE 3 or 4 you really don't need a NVLINK
you could handle it entirely thru the PCIe on the MB - because in no way are we gonna saturate the PCie lanes nor are we coming close to it even with 2 cards running 4k gaming

to see it on the card....I assume for the purpose of only allowing less PCIe lane usage and maybe a more collaborative means between the two cards without using the PCIe lanes and the protocol(overhead) of the communications there. NVlink would also be faster as well

what i allude to on the output side is THERE IS NO DVI

you get HDMI,Displayport and VRlink now

DVI i no way can handle the bandwidth going forward for future gaming or future displays
