Latest driver for the NU Audio Card.  Currently only Windows 10 x64.  Other OS will be available soon.
  • EVGA NU Audio Card (712-P1-AN01-KR) - v0.1.1.0 (Added 2/1)
  • EVGA NU Audio Card (712-P1-AN01-KR) - v0.1.0.3
Release Notes (v0.1.1.0):
  • Added additional checks during driver installation to eliminate runtime errors, or require a reboot before installing again.
Release Notes (v0.1.0.3):
  • Improved driver installation to eliminate runtime errors during launch.
Make sure to close the EVGA NU Audio Software, and any other audio programs, before installing.  NU Audio Software can generally be found in the system tray at the bottom-right in the taskbar. After installation, you may be directed to restart your system, whereupon the driver will continue after the PC boots back into Windows.

Alternative -

If this doesn't work for you, here are some steps that have been confirmed to work with either driver currently available:
  1. Uninstall the EVGA NU Audio Software.
  2. Reboot the system.
  3. Reinstall the EVGA NU Audio Software.  Do not test or play any audio.
  4. Reboot the system once again.
  5. Test to see if you continue having runtime errors.
Let us know if you are still running into issues.

Edit (2/1): Added v0.1.1.0 to help improve the driver process some more.

I've installed the new driver exactly as you described but things got worse. I have the same issues as before plus one more: a notification that I could download version 1.0.0.0. now.

The notification I can fix, and should be updated momentarily.

Did you also try the alternate fix in the post above?

I still get the same runtime error messages. I refuse to invest more time in this. Card is going back.

Same here - runtime errors and rgb gone today.

Edit: re-re instaling new software helps. RGB is back, also no runtime errors.

Hi. I just got my Nu Audio card today and I've installed it clean directly with the 1.0.3 drivers. All went ok. No errors on install.

BUT the Nu Audio control software exits when you click on the left/right triangle arrows on the sides. It then must be re-run from  the start menu to get it back again.
    Probably just a small bug.

Also if I could recommend couple of new features/upgrades to the software:
    - the ability of assigning the "headphone volume" as master (kind of volume swap Headphone -> Master) - I am pretty sure that there is a lot of headphone users that would like to have the ability of controlling volume without the need of going into the NuAudio Software. Not sure if this is possible

    - would it be possible to auto-mute the card during playback switch from PCM to DSD? This could be a playback software issue. I am using Audirvana for PC (win10) and the ASIO driver. Audirvana does pretty decent job muting during rate swap but I do get couple of nasty clicks when switching from PCM to DSD in the headphones - not sure if this is the card/driver or Audirvana doing this. There are no clicks when switching from DSD file to PCM file. Auto muting the card in the driver during the mode switch would be awesome. :)

otherwise the card sounds great on my Sennheiser 660S cans. I have to still do some listening comparison to my iFi xDSD DAC and Pioneer DAP player :)

Introspector and StefanHH, I really hate to ask this, but can you confirm that you've plugged in a SATA power cable from your power supply, and not an adapter?

    Thanks for the feedback.

With regards to the first, I'm not sure how doable your suggestion is.  If anything, I'd like to see if we can get some configurable hotkeys first, as that would probably take less time, from a programming standpoint.  For the second, I'll forward this for testing.

Also just got mine today. I installed the newest drivers (only drivers) available on this website. It all went well but I did receive a little grey box at the end with the error messages other are mentioning. But it still seems to be working. Didn't seem like a big deal. I can't get 32 bit 384 khz to work in all games. But when it does? WOW!!! At 32 bit 384 khz it seems to make everything sound better. Digital audio doesn't seem so "harsh" through this card. No doubt there is a natural anti-aliasing effect from the higher bit depth and such a high sample rate.

The software does seem a bit "glitchy" at the moment. It closes out just about every time I press the left or right arrows. Also I didn't seem to notice any kind of "acknowledgement" when settings are applied or saved (maybe some quick flashes of the button?). But I was able to confirm that the app can change sample and bit rates by also checking in the Windows sound settings after I apply something.

Is there no way to change buffer rates? Ya know like most pro audio interfaces, starting at 16 then 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, and 2048, with the lowest number offering the lowest latency but also the least chance to have smooth hiccup free studder free audio, so the user has to make a balance choice based on his needs at the time.

Glad that the runtime error issue is being addressed quickly and that the complete uninstall and reinstall seems to be helpful. Thanks for those who are giving the feedback to help.

I did actually use an adapter. I think the manual should have stated it, if  that could cause problems, because it's not uncommon to use one. Also, the (for a soundcard) quite uncommon need for an Sata power connector makes it difficult to power it without an adapter, because in most pc cases (like mine) connectors of the other Sata devices are relatively far away from the PCI slots.
To keep everything connected, I had to use an 4 pin Molex-to-Sata-adapter.
With a cable from the power supply the card and software worked. I an still going to return it, because it doesn't perform better than my old Asus STX.

Also I think that either the NU Audio sound card (Or perhaps the driver or software for the card) has been causing my PC to have blue screen of death issues. My PC does this when I put the computer to sleep and then try to wake it up later. (The amount of time asleep does not seem to matter.) When I boot the PC back up I hear three "clicks" and then the computer boots up to the lock screen and freezes. About 10 seconds later the computer crashes to a blue screen. My PC then says that it will attempt to collect some error info, but it is unable to because of how severe the freeze is. (Hopefully that is enough of a description for you to replicate the issue?)

I know there are many hardware or software issues that could cause this besides the sound card, but this issue has only happened to me since I have installed the card, and the stop code I receive after my crash just changed when I uninstalled the 0.1.0.1 driver and installed the new 0.1.0.3 driver. (The stop code changed from: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED to 0xc000021a)

BSOD if Windows tries to install Microsoft drivers. After I manage to bypass the installation and finally Install the official software, I get the runtime error once I boot. When it stop displaying these errors, I open up the software, explore the settings and when I click either arrow, it crashes.

and before anyone asks, yes, I have a dedicated SATA power cable connected to it.

I'm sorry to tell you that EVGA NU Audio Card (712-P1-AN01-KR) - v0.1.1.0 (Added 2/1) still does not work for me.
In the new version the Firmware Update option has disappeared. I don't know why...

I'm also sorry to report that the new drivers did not fix anything for me. (And they have made my BSOD errors even worst) The only difference that I am seeing is that the runtime error changed to "mic not found" and "line in not found." I still cannot open the NU audio software.

The driver works a treat. The JPlay ASIO driver trumps the Nu ASIO driver (I'm sure it will improve). The sound stage and timing is better in the JPlay and this is just unboxed. Let's see where it's at in 100+ hours. I'm used to a JCAT USB card and external Rega DAC R and wasn't expecting to be impressed by the Nu Audio. Audio Note have done their magic. I'm using the RCA to my Woo Audio WA6 tube headphone amp with Fostex Ebony headphone.

What is the suggested burn in time? Apologies if I missed it. Feels sloppy with bass/mid-range and treble not there yet. I'm optimistic!

Can y'all start signing your installation packages. I shouldn't have to disable my security settings just to get a driver installed. The previous utility was not giving me any prompt for updating. After the installation there were no issues to report but I didn't see any kind of firmware update. The only improvement I see out of this utility is that the interface's EQ sliders don't have any lag or glitching.

Yes, much to my surprise this does matter. Was using a sata power extension cable and system did not see the nu audio card. Thanks to this forum, tried plugging directly into the power supply sata cable and presto the card was recognized.
