Hey guys, so when I graduated last year my parents bought me a PC as a gift, unfortunately I chose the EVGA 750 bq as a power supply, the pc has been problems since I had it, for the first 2 weeks it would restart randomly atleast twice a day, amazon was kind enough to replace it for me, worked fine for 2 or 3 months then the random restarts came back but this time was every few days instead, fine, 3 days ago my PC just died while I was using it, I start it and the lights and fans come on for a split second then die, replaced power cord and it stayed that way, removed it out and did the power on tester that came with it and also with a paper clip and the fans didn't even move at all, the REPLACEMENT PSU died in a few months of use and i only use my pc for like 3-4 hours a day studying and gaming, so I said no problem, 5 year warranty and I've registered let's contact EVGA, now they want me to ship it to them on my expense, which is upwards of 75$ from Egypt to Germany, something that is more than the price and not something I can afford (Egypt is in an economical crisis and inflation is extremely high for the past 6 months) and even if that would happen they would still send me a "recertified" psu.
Now I've called EVGA and explained the situation and they said they have no other way to RMA, meaning that I'm pretty much unable to do any of my work until I manage to save up enough money to buy a new power supply(which is impossible considering I'm a fulltime student on scholarship) because I wasn't smart enough to read the RMA process before buying.
I advise you against buying EVGA power supplies if not all products and to make sure you read warranty instructions and procedures before buying anything, thanks for reading.

    Sorry because your situation.
I completely understand. I notice you are extremely unlucky with PSU.
Something like that to 2-3 PSU die just like that usually happen if PSU model is defective or if power in region is not quality.
Usually higher voltage than 220-230V. I hear in some countries go and up to 240-250V with constant deviation.
Only solution for you and for anyone is like you sad to read and try to avoid anything what is not proven on market.
EVGA have G2, G3, P2, T2 series and they are extremely quality but bad things could happen with any model.
Manufacturers should avoid to send as refurbished replacement except if sample is in very similar condition as new PSU because customers could continue to RMA.
Where you bought PSU? If you bought in Egypt, maybe you could try in store where they bought PSU.

Example I live in Serbia and sending from my country to Germany could cost and 100 euro if I use Fedex or DHL.
But I could send with national post and that will cost me 20 euro maybe. I don't know but you have probably some similar option.
It could travel and one month because distance and sea. From my country travel very fast, and we are far from stable country and good economic situation, in most cases we are worse of all in Europe.

Thanks for your reply my friend, they said it needs to be trackable and the cheapest travkable option i found costs 75$ for a 65$ psu... i dont even have that money and would have to pay import fees and taxes, unfortunately I bought through amazon because I thought EVGA 5 year warranty was safe, now my pc is just piece of metal waiting for me to be able to get a new one.

Sorry to see your having issues with multiple EVGA 750 bq - PSU

You should at a minimum box the PSU so it will not be damaged in shipping & Insure the package in case of loss or damage

Sending the package in a traceable manner is "optional" but it Protects you the sender ---> if your package never arrives to EVGA RMA address there would be nothing EVGA could do to help you.

This should be cheaper; however, you are taking the risk of your package not arriving and No Way to find it

Yeah well unfortunately It would still be cheaper for me to toss this in the trash or sell it as junk than send it, such a product shouldn't have been sold to me in Egypt with such warranty in the first place if the only way to use it is to pay mote than it's value, I just stated the issue I had I have already read through these policies and know nothing will change.

Might want to invest in a power conditioner in the future, I suspect quality of power delivery might be causing your repeated failures.

I wouldn't spend that much to send a low end BQ power supply back. Maybe someone from EVGA HQ in the US will read this topic and help you out.

it stinks that shipping is that much but it is totally out of evgas control, it would not make much business sense to cover shipping to and fro, remember they cover the cost shipping it back also. i have used a few of the BQ units and they have been good so far, i would suspect that even though you are on a UPS that you may still be getting dirty power, not all ups's have line conditioning. i for one will only buy one that does have it.

A guy I know was having power issues with his system.
Turns out the outlet is on the same line as a mini fridge.... So bad power and a mini fridge were to blame.
I would get a volt meter and test your outlet. In the US we want the outlet to have between 110-120v and 60Hz ( or 59.9). So what I tell everyone to buy is a line conditioner, and not a cheap 8 port white power strip. I point people at something like a Panamax product. If we can all spend 1,000+ USD on a computer we can buy a $150-$200 power conditioner.
    https://www.amazon.com/Panamax-MR4000-Management-Protection-Conditioning/dp/B009MQTC52/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1504145422&sr=8-5&keywords=panamax
or a nicer unit with a readout
    https://www.amazon.com/Panamax-MR4000-Management-Protection-Conditioning/dp/B00ILH7KJI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1504145422&sr=8-5&keywords=panamax&th=1
or look at ebay for used and highly discounted units.

another PSU brand I really like is Rosewill ... yeah NewEgg.com' brand (was ABS back in the day).

Good luck with you're power and remember to get a volt meter

From the experience you are having I would imagine that the presence of dirty power may be the issue?

UPS is good thing, but same as PSU no saving money on UPS.
And it's not same if you need UPS for 600-700W Bronze PSU and if you need UPS for 1200-1300W Platinum/Titanium.
Difference in price is huge... far more than PSU itself.
For good 1KW PSU Gold, Platinum APC SMT1500 or Cyberpower 1500VA 1050W for 1000W Power Supplies are all 400$+... 460-500, 550$...

People with Mini PC, 100W CPU and 180W GPU as GTX1080 could use and 150-200$ worth UPS, 500-600W.
