I have an XB273K GP monitor. This monitor uses two displayport cables to achieve 4K, 144Hz and with 10 bit color. I have an EVGA 3090 FTW graphics card. When I put the monitor to sleep, it never wakes up. I have to hard restart my computer to get it working again. If I try to just turn off my monitor (disabling the setting in Windows to sleep my monitor), the monitor will not wake up when I turn it back on. I have to hard restart my computer. Does anyone have a fix for this?

remove power from monitor ... then apply power again .. does it wake ?

If the monitor has "deep sleep" setting --> disable it

Try this tool  NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID

    (excerpt)

The DisplayID specification provides enhanced display capabilities.  To ensure compatibility with monitors using DisplayID, an update to the NVIDIA GPU firmware may be required.

Without the update, systems that are connected to a DisplayPort monitor using DisplayID could experience blank screens on boot until the OS loads.  This update should only be applied if blank screens are occurring on boot.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to update using the tool, but it said that my card is already updated. My monitor does not have a "deep sleep" setting. I've tried to remove power to the monitor and then plugging it back in, but with no luck.

this your Mods Rigs PC ?

    List hardware & OS details

Is this a New issue or did you just add new hardware ?

Any firmware updates from Monitor Mfg ?

Recent driver & OS updates just before this started ?

I'm not sure if it is a "Black Screen" or a "Wake Up issue" .... because of the ... "have to hard restart my computer to get it working again"

Maybe DDU the display driver and reinstall?

What driver are you using? What Motherboard? I know some Asus boards have to have PLL Overvoltage turned off for
    issues like this.....

Not sure...these kinds of issues are annoying.

So, it worked for about a year and a half just fine. I think maybe it was Windows update that caused the issue, but I can't really go back now because I ended up updating to Windows 11 to see if it would fix the issue. The monitor does not show a displayport 2 output while in 144Hz mode. However, after this issue started (me not being able to bring back the monitor after turning it off), it shows 2 displayport outputs. It is almost as if Windows no longer holds on to the display configuration? I tried the DisplayID update because it actually sounded like the issue could be fixed with this method. Unfortunately, it was not fixed.

I tried to DDU and reinstall the last known working driver.
