I plan on buying a GTX 1080ti soon, but I need a new monitor to fully utilize it. I'm stuck between getting an Ultrawide G-Sync or 4k G-Sync 27" or 29". I want to keep my budget around $500 or less (don't see a need to pay more on my monitor than my TV). What are your suggestions?

I wouldn't go less than a 1440P resolution for whichever way you go. Especially with a 1080Ti. And personally, I could not go back to a non Gsync display. A $500. budget will make it tough though, but you may find something that meets your needs.

You can find a decent 4K monitor with g-sync under 500 dollars, but make sure you read reviews on the monitor to see if the quality meets your approval.

I would hold off for Nvidia next GPU, if you want to do 4K gaming with lots of eye candy.

I thought about waiting till some more drop. I'm honestly torn between 4K and UWHD 21:9 at the moment, but I definitely want to invest in g sync.

Very true. I can't go any higher than 27" at this price with a good sale, but I want to see if there are any more releases that make the other monitors hit a competitive price. But we all know how Ngreedia can be at times unless it's holidays.

Come to the conclusion that I may do better waiting until the holidays to get the best bang for my buck.

Waiting is definitely better, you also might be able to tuck away extra money to increase your budget. Refresh rate might interest you too, 144hz 1ms monitors are more expensive, but they look so much better it's almost always worth over 60hz

So after plenty reviews. I'm going 1440. 4k seems to not be worthy at the moment. Unless every by Xmas decides to release 4k graphics. Plus 4k refresh rate isn't up to par yet. Why go gsync if I'm not hunting refresh rate? Seems like I'm wasting time with 4k so I'm going 1440
