I've had the micro 2 board for almost 2 years now, and I have been noticing a performance degradation.  When I actually decide to look into it, I see that the first slot is only running at PCI-E x8.  When I previously configured this board everything was running correctly, both slots x16, and my NVME x4.  The second slot is running correct at x16.  I swapped cards seeing if that would help, but same thing, it runs the card inserted at x8.  I tried a couple of different configurations, but it will only run at whatever is inserted at x8.  So is there anything else I can try to get this slot to recognize x16 again, or is it time for an RMA?

Thanks!

I would try reseating the cpu & reflashing the bios. Try a different cpu if reseating/reflashing doesn't help. Rma board if all three fail to correct the problem.

    Thank you for the reply.

Tried flashing the bios since that was the simplest place to start, same result.  Going to try reseating the cpu next.  Also noticed in my event log, been getting a lot of memory errors, access errors, or just general trying to start something and failing to do so.

    Alright, reseating the CPU worked!

Appreciate the assist!  Also looked like I needed to complete clean and redo the thermal paste as well, it looked a bit too dry.
