Got it too but 376.53 is not listed on Nvidia website. If we DDU and install the latest 378.49, does it still force update?

That's strange, I just now updated windows10 pro 64bit,  and it did not change my display driver.
I still have driver 378.57 installed

I just uninstalled 378.57 rebooted, then installed 373.06 and rebooted. So I am now running the older 373 driver.
Then I had updates look for new win10 updates and it said " My computer is up to date"
Rebooted again and I still have 373.06 installed and still my computer is up to date.
Not sure if that is any help or not, but I hope you get your sorted out.
I'll try a few folding WUs and see how well this driver works for me folding.
    Good luck

I don't have Windows 10, but on the Folding Forum is a thread about this problem and I don't know if you have already tried the option posted by Bollix47:

This is Working Great, until the next upgrade at least. Thank you DutchForce
Windows 10 users can disable it by creating a 32Bit DWORD called ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate
    under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
and set the value ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate to 1.

Not ran a whole bunch of WUs with 2 GTX980Tis in this system.
I can say the 2 running WUs now show about 200,000PPD better than the 378.57 did.
It is a wee bit early to tell for sure but even before the few days it ran, it never once said this much PPD

    Thanks DutchForce
3 hours later I am back running.
I did drop 6 WU when the first driver installed.
Not sure where they even went as the Work Folder was empty on both computers.

Today my 2 GTX 980 Hybrids hit 1,000,000 PPD for the First Time.
My 2 GTX 1080 high was 1,780,000 PPD to date.

Yes roll drivers back ad long as you do not play games that need newest driver . new driver sucks for ppd . I was better off with the drive that the new core 21 broke over fix it driver . I got a copy of 373.06 on main comp when I get time will give it a try .

F@H will fail all WU if drivers change and folding is not paused.

Just for clarification, are you running Windows 10 Home or Pro?  I've seen a lot of runners of Home have this issue, but not many with Pro.

Also - I've always used the GeForce Experience to control driver installations and defer updates.  So far I've not had any issues *knock on wood.*

That link goes back too far, before the anniversary update. All my settings went back to default after updating. It may still work but then again another major update is coming, some reports say March and some say April.

That is what I have had for a few months now, it did not stop the Driver install.
Only what it is in #9 above worked http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2613707 for Windows 10.
This has been hidden on Windows 7 Computer for a while, I even have a Thread about it.

I am not spreading or starting a rumor, how would this help our Folding Team.
I spent over 3 hours last night fixing all 3 of my Windows 10 Pro x64 The Anniversary Update + 1 Windows Home x64 Anniversary Update.
Both, they are the same OS only the Enterprise Version is different when it comes to Windows Update.
I Never Use GeForce Experience, Ever. Most Folders know not to use this Tool. Gamers are another story.

Pro & Enterprise users can disable driver updates through group policy editor: "run" gpedit.msc and navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update.  In the right hand double click the policy "do not include drivers with Windows Updates" (just about 2/3 of the way down the list)& select "enable"

Just did it to me too.  I am going to install the newest driver and reboot.  If it forces the update again, I will simply disable Windows Update in services...I think that will work no?

Just did it to me too.  I am going to install the newest driver and reboot.  If it forces the update again, I will simply disable Windows Update in services...I think that will work no?

That would be up to you, if you use Defender you will no longer get updates for Defender and you will get any Security Updates.

This is Working Great, until the next upgrade at least. Thank you DutchForce
Windows 10 users can disable it by creating a 32Bit DWORD called ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate
    under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
and set the value ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate to 1.

i had no such luck as the directories listed i do not have. tried creating them and immediately, and i mean the moment i clicked close at the end of the reinstalling 372.90 windows starting installing the update again... so imma update to 378.57 and forget about it until some newer driver with better performance is found.

    F U Windows.

     Windows.

Let the Driver complete for now and then make the changes. (Your update Process is the Middle) Restart your Computer.
They are Not Directories, but Registry Keys. You use regedit to edit the Keys.
You also will need to restart your computer before they take effect.

This worked on all 4 of my Windows 10 Rigs.
Though I did it only once and then Exported the Keys and Imported them on my other three computers.

    Save Code as a Addme64.reg file 64Bit or x64 Windows 10

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
    "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001

    Save Code as a Addme32.reg file 32Bit or x86 Windows 10

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
    "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001

You should merge Both Files on your computer on 64Bit OS Windows 10 computers
