LED Sync not working for RTX 3090 Hybrid

I recently got lucky and got my hands on a 3090 (EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING, 24G-P5-3988-KR). It is a great card but I seem to be not able to adjust the RGB lights on the card and fans. They are stuck in rainbow pulse mode with no way to adjust them.
I upgraded from an EVGA 2080 Super and have always used Precision X1 to adjust the RGB colors without any issues. With the new card however this doesn't work.
So far I tried:
  • Fresh install of Windows, Nvidia drivers, X1 Precision (30 version)
  • Led Sync button in X1 is greyed out and not clickable
  • Then reinstalled the LED Sync software again manually -> Led Sync button in X1 now has a blue light but is still not clickable
  • Starting the LED Sync executable manually opens the LED Sync window, but shows that no GPU has been found and its says 'Chose your graphics card', but not card in the list to select from.
  • Other than installing the latest version of all drivers and tools (as of 12/14) I have not done any firmware upgrades or anything.
Is there any alternative software that would work, or any other hacky way, to change the RBG colors?
Did anybody run into the same problem and can maybe offer some advice?

    Thanks for the link but I have tried that already with not effect.
    From reading the other threads, it looks like the software seems to be rather buggy :(
