I recently installed X1 for my new xc3 3080 ultra, and when I change the LED color pattern and "save" it, if I reboot my computer or even wake from a sleep it goes to the default rainbow color. It wont go to my saved LED profile.

Anyone have similar experiences, or know if I am doing something wrong? My fan curve profile seems to work fine on reboot, just the LED profile is giving me trouble.

Click the "LED" option at the center top of the program. It's not very obvious, but that's where you change it. We have the same card, so you should be able to.

Same issue here, with a 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming.

The only way I can get the RGB back is by loading the profile manually. The checkbox for using the last settings on startup does nothing.

It's also not saving the link state for the fans in any profile. I have to reapply the link for the fan sync every time.

Unless you uninstall Precision X1 and delete the folders it will save once but you can't change it again after that.

Is EVGA ever going to fix this software? I had the same issues with my RTX 2070, and I ended up just using the default white LED and Afterburner for OCing. Now I have an RTX 3080, and PX1 doesn't properly save LED settings in the profile either.

Before I in installed PX1 my 3080 ran with the default rainbow.

After the first install and selecting the "temperature" LED mode, it would revert to green static upon reboot. Checked PX1, and the LED settings were green static. Change to temperature, select profile 0, save, reboot, and back to green. rinse/repeat every boot.

Uninstall/reinstall PX1, now it defaults to blue static. A bit better than green, but I'd like to be able to tweak the colors without the app randomly picking a static color for me. No matter what I do, the profile setting reverts back to blue static.

I have now uninstalled PX1 completely, and my card still runs with a blue static LED all the time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've found that sometimes the setting change doesn't take effect until PX1 starts in Windows. Then after a few reboots, it does seem to eventually stay as set, at least on my 2080Ti FTW3.

It seems that running Precision X1 as administrator solves the issues I have had. I don't really think that's a good idea for daily usage, so I have reset the card back to the default rainbow and uninstalled Precision. At least I know how to predictably make changes to the RGB settings, and have them stick. My 3080 is now back to the default rainbow without PX1 installed.

I have the 3080 FTW3 Ultra. I not only have the problem of the main LED resetting on every boot, also happens during power state changes while gaming. Hell, today, I looked at it directly and watched it switch from temperature to rainbow with no other programs running other than Microsoft Edge.

EVGA. You guys are looking like flaming amateur's. What the hell are you guys doing? You look like idiots. 10 dollars says that you don't know how to fix this, let along have anyone competent enough on the payroll to actually address this as a company of your size should. Do you have any engineers that aren't your cousin Vinney? I hope this post makes someone's blog and they continue to flame you for just sucking at coding RGB. This is just goddamn embarrassing.

HEY EVGA!!!! Are you going to do something about this, or are you not smart enough to figure it out? All that goddamn money you guys are making and you can't get this right. Yeah, you know you suck!

BTW, they will see that I just purchased a Hybrid kit and just write me off knowing that I still gave them money. EVGA does not care about this, and doesn't give a damn if this looks bad because they are just being force fed money from us.

And if I get banned, then they also do not care about my passion!

I THINK I FIXED IT. Even with v1.1.9 this **** is still an issue. Absolutely ridiculous. Anyway

-I set the LED’s the way I wanted them
    -Went into settings
    -Set a hotkey, random
-Uncheck Apply previous settings, recheck it
    -Hit Apply
-Hit a new profile number you’ve never used before !!!!important!!!!
    -Click Save
    -Click that profile number again
    -Click Save again
    Shutdown (don’t restart)
Reboot and you should see the LED setting you set as soon as the system POST, even before booting into windows.

same issue with my 2080ti.  literally have burned a few days on this now.  about to simply detach the led power from the gpu. The setting will persist through a restart, but sleep/wake and it insta goes blue and I have to open the software to get it to go back.  Well past annoying since I use a task to sleep/wake my pc every night/day.

Does anyone know how to disable the OLED screen on the 3090 KINGPIN? I want both the LED and OLED off. I can only turn off the LEDs but not the OLED...

Sometimes things save, sometimes they don't. X1 is just super buggy. We all know that.

Yes this is happening to me too. I have my GPU lights set to red and white depending on the temperature. After some time of playing maybe like 30mins or so the RGB lights just change to rainbow. I am not sure why, I stopped trying to figure it out. I assume it is a EVGA software bug that will be updated in the future.

With precisionx 1.2, I can disable LEDsync in task manager, run it again from Program Files (x86), change the settings and the settings are saved upon reboot with LEDsync running and visible on the task bar, a compromise I'm willing to make after not being able to control LEDs since buying my EVGA 1080TIftw 4 years ago.
