The 1600 T2 never had stock either. Looking at it now there's basically nothing good in stock except maybe a 1600/1300 watt 80+ Gold PSU and if I bought it I'd just sell it.

Thanks, it definitely is. I never expected any discount, was extremely excited when I got it especially because I never get lucky like that, and now am extremely disappointed. A few things happening all at once have me souring on eVGA. And for all of the people salty that they didn't get codes in the first place, I get it, but not everyone who got one is a new customer. I've bought eVGA GPUs exclusively for 15 years, barring one that I bought last year due to availability and sold when I was able to purchase an eVGA, and eVGA PSUs exclusively for a decade. I really hope you get to use yours.

There are currently a total of 44 huge ocean container ships anchored off the coast of Los Angeles, due to a substantial labor shortage in the port of Long Beach caused by Covid. Most of these ships are inbound from China, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore, and are carrying various electronic devices, among other merchandise, including computer hardware. Normally, there are no anchored ships whatsoever, and the average anchor wait time per ship right now is 7 to 10 days.
 
I am in logistics and this will take quite some time to resolve.
 
To give you an educated guess, most of these ships have the capacity of 1000 transport containers. Most of these containers are 53' and have a maximum gross weight of 80,000 lbs per container. In other words, there is approximately 3.5 billion lbs of electronics and other merchandise waiting to get into the US off the coast of Los Angeles at this very moment.
 
I would bet anyone a 3090 KP HC that a shipment of our long awaited gaming goodness is stuck on one of those ships.
 
I know its not what everyone wants to hear, including myself, but I hope it gives you some consolation.

A 53ft container cost $20,000 to $25,000 to ship from Asia to North America west coast, which is 5 times more before covid hit. And still climbing. When it comes to high values goods, sea freight has no significant cost advantage. Air freight cost about $4000 to $5000 per ton, and that's about 200 to 500 cards.
