I asked Jacob in stream about KPHC cards just now, he responded that they they are working on getting some more out, but it won't be in volume as it is a limited release.

In this case though it sounds like a small number of cards will be released at some point in the not too distant future, but don't expect them in large numbers.. so if you're at #100+ on the wait list like me (or even 50+), highly likely we will never get a notify email for the KPHC.

Legitimately we probably won't, at least not before whatever is next comes out. This whole thing has been a frustrating exercise in futility, and seems to be very feast-or-famine. It seems like most people either have gotten nothing, Kingpin-wise, or have gotten 2+. If I stick with eVGA I'm taking the low road next time and just botting, seems to be the only way to "win."

I finally got in a financial place this year to do my very first build, and I had planned on going all out. The only part missing that I have yet to be able to order is this card. Neo G9 is on order, as well as the Optimus WB for this guy. I purchased everything for my build around getting this KP. If I have to spend oodles and gobs more next year just to change my system around for a 4090 KP because I never got the chance to get a 3090 KP, I will be exceptionally sad.

If you bought everything with the current generation of CPU/Motherboards/PSU/RAM/etc I would think you should be fine no matter if you are using a 3000 or 4000 series of GPU. If you bought the higher end of the current tech, you really should be solid and not need to upgrade anything unless you really want to.  
 
The bigger issue is that I know you ordered the Optimus block so that would be specific to the 3090 KP card.  But I am thinking the rate of release should be picking up again with the scalping prices going down hill and the mining boom busting which should allow others who are seeking GPUs access to lower cost options which should make a KP card less appealing to those types of users.  Even though you only recently entered the queues, with the secondary market taking a dive it should discourage scalpers from trying to scalp KP cards since they are not making the 100% profit mark or more they were earlier.

 notified 12:30 PT bought. literally two days after I got 3090 trio. Guess no choice to try to sell at cost if I can. You know there is a problem with msrp when kingpin cost pretty much same as trio
