I'll take the sacrifice for not having to deal with scalpers. For a card like this I can only imagine how hard fighting the bots would've been. The hydrocopper sku will be an option but I have half a second computer assembled that needs to be finished. Thanks again for the work enewt

That's a TRX40 (Threadripper) CPU block, says so in the pic afterall, the rest of it is the stock Kingpin stuff though.  All that bare copper hnnnnn.  The stock cooler looks like a normal plain (flatter pump housing) 360mm AIO.

I didn't think so, I was hoping the OP would explain what he is doing.  



Probably a temporary solution until whatever liquid block he wants becomes available, would be my guess, because a full coverage block like that TRX40 is for the GPU/vRAM on the GPU die side, with proper use of thermal pads for the vRAM, would work better than the stock AIO cooler. 
I imagine it will run pretty darn cool like that.

If you have a registered recent GPU with that account, you should have Elite Membership... it allowed you to sign up for the Kingpin, so obviously your Elite Membership is on.
At that registration date, you'll be waiting a while, but not as long as other 3090 SKUs, because a lot less people are signed up for these (unsurprising since it's $500 over MSRP for an FE 3090)

I was hoping so, it wasn't that clear. I need the card for my workstation so my current kingpin can go on permanent holiday to a new home .

UPS just sent me a notification changing my delivery day from next Tuesday. I bought the $22 ground option, didn't want to pay over $60 to have it shipped overnight. And the 2nd day Air option still had an estimated arrival on Tuesday, so no point using that. 
 
I'm getting it Saturday!!! Wooohooo! Thanks UPS, I get to play with my new toy over the weekend. 
 
Does anyone have any info on what TIM, thermal pads, and paste this gen has? Is the thickness and dimensions of the thermal pads listed in the online manual? I'd like to order new stuff without waiting. 
 
Edit: I just counted 5 Kingpins on Ebay, minimum asking price $2950. Shame!!!...

I think that's something you could contact support & get a pretty solid answer back on, but it should be available somewhere... I believe someone did a detailed install of the regular Hybrid kit, the pads SHOULD be the same size, but maybe not... for the Kingpin things could be slightly different.

Curious as well. My GPU temps are decent considering im in Florida but every degree counts. For the paste we might have to ask Jacob or someone with evga for a correct answer. My memory temps could definitely use some TLC though. Maybe someone who has ripped their card apart can take a stab at pad size.

Just a FYI, after a straggler drop over each of the last two days, I think it is better than 70-30 that we will not receive a K|NGP|N drop today.

Yes, but historic practice suggests that EVGA takes a few weeks to secure a critical mass of units before doing a KPE drop...so there may be a bit of a pause until we see it again.  I am hoping not, but that's kind of what happened in late November and December....
