I'm wondering what the actual sign up to people who reported ratio is beyond the initial date. It's seemed fairly accurate so far.

Feels around 50-50 (maybe 60-40 in favor of our self-reported queue) based on what I see on Twitter, Discord and elsewhere (folks receiving Kingpin's from the queue but who quote timestamps that are not in our spreadsheet).

It's not like there aren't currently 14 people watching the spreadsheet... and I didn't know that you can see you move between cells real time.  Hence how we know you like to use the arrows to move around some of the fields..

I'm curious (and confused) about the associate code and the best way to handle things... how do I know if I can use a code to save money? had a hell of a time just trying to find out where to apply enewt's code as my default. then I see stories about not being able to use one or the other cause one my be an associate already. then saw that you give it up for life if you remove associate status just to use someone else's code.. the whole thing is messy.
 
Can anyone ELI5 how all of this works and financially what's the best decision to make?

You can always use the Associate's Code when checking out on eVGA.com, there's a space on the payment screen for "Affiliate/Associate's Code" you can simply input it there, or click the Link or image-link to his code in his signature, and that will put a cookie in your browser for eVGA.com that SHOULD insert it automatically during checkout.
If you're in the Associate's Program, you will not be able to use a code after you have received eVGA Bucks via the program, that's how it worked out for me, I was still able to use ENewt's code for my 3090 FTW3 Hybrid purchase, but yesterday during my 3090 Kingpin checkout, it gave me the message of "You are unable to use an Associate's Code because you are a member of the program" since I've now received all the eVGA Bucks from last month's usage of my code by people on the forums here.
And I'm not gonna complain about not being able to use it either, since a chunk of those eVGA Bucks paid for the Shipping & Tax on that Kingpin purchase, making the charge to my account only a flat 1999.88 instead of the full price.
If you're a person who isn't likely to get your code used often, I would recommend against signing up for the program, and just setup a regular eVGA Rewards account instead... that allows people to use your code during registration - not ordering - of your card, and it gives whoever's code is used $2 in eVGA Bucks, just for using that code during your card registration.  Note that in order for the person to actually receive those 2 eVGA Bucks, the person registering the card has to upload their invoice (which is located on your eVGA Order page for the card if you ordered from eVGA.com directly).

Maybe I can provide a bit more context...the Associate’s Code is designed to reward folks who assist others within the forums. 
 
  -  You can check to see if you have signed up to be an associate by going here: https://www.evga.com/associates/membership.aspx (if you don't have a banner and info, then you likely have NOT signed up to be an associate). 
  -  If you are an associate, you cannot use your code or anybody else's code.  You can only get the benefit of EVGA points when folks use your code.  
  - If you are NOT an associate, you can use another's Associate’s Code to get between 3% and 10% discounts (GPUs are 3%, cooling and cases are 10%) on your purchases from the EVGA online store.  
  - If you signed up to be an associate, but want to get the discount, you would have to leave the associate's program.  But, to avoid gaming of the system (constantly signing up and cancelling your participation in the program), EVGA makes it a one-way trip.  If you cancel, you cannot rejoin the associate's program.  
  - In terms of what you should do, it probably depends on whether you plan on hanging out on the forums and trying to help folks....

Yeah but happens every time and nothing can be done about it. I could see it if they want to make a profit but they should list as auction starting a little over what they paid. Of course ebay and PayPal fees alone require a markup of $250 right off the bat.

I mean, my 3090 FTW3 Hybrid is going to appear on EBay not long after I receive my Kingpin... but I'll be listing it at a 'regular' price, and whatever it gets bid up to is the purchasing people's business. 

 
In reviewing ebay...at one of my weaker moments (I did not cave!)...that is what the scalpers appear to be doing.  They price their card at or even below retail and let the bidders go crazy.  What one of my friends did (and I am not suggesting you need to do this, but I thought it was cool), is he did a "purchase it now" listing at whatever his total cost was...purchase, plus taxes, plus shipping. And then he charged shipping from his home to the buyer's home.  It sold immediately and for a few hundred dollars less than what the scalpers were getting through the bidding process.  Again, not suggesting that you do this approach...just that the scalpers aren't setting crazy high prices for the auctions...but they are getting bid up to ridiculous prices.  

Last time I looked, a good amount of actual scalpers are listing at Buy It Now price (if you look at Completed/Sold items) that is a mean of the average recent sales prices for the given card, thusly preventing troll-bidding on cards that would delay the sale during the process required before you can relist an item that someone refuses to pay for.  I'm sure by now the trolling is lessened, but it's still there.
 
The primary reason I wouldn't do what you suggested is because a Scalper would likely buy it, and I don't want to feed their greed.  I'd rather the card at least have a good chance of going to someone that's actually going to use it, which is why I'll list it as an auction.

Increasing level of worry about the fact that my card is STILL showing "ready for pickup".  Anyone else that ordered theirs yesterday able to confirm whether or not theirs is stuck similarly or not?  Just wondering if it was a warehouse error or just UPS hasn't scanned in the card yet or what... I've had a shipment before do this then the system randomly updates & it's suddenly went from California to Arizona or where-ever it ends up next before getting here.  Hoping that happens, but I'm expecting an issue that results in it not getting here until Monday at this point...
