It will take being in the associate program or using someone’s code to place the order for the Kingpin card. Lots of people are sharing codes and it's easy to join the program and any code will work. Keep in mind also that EVGA has other deals they post on Facebook in which they require an associate program code.

Just to avoid confusion on launch day, do we would order it on launch day from a normal EVGA product page (maybe only allowing to check out if you have an associate code), or will that particular product require a special link/page.

A code isn't necessary if you join the program. https://www.evga.com/associates/

We don't know but it should be somewhere around there based on their current GPU stack and previous KPE's comparatively speaking. It could be anywhere from $1699 to $1999+ to be frank. It depends how generous EVGA is feeling this time. We all know it will sell out regardless of the price.

My guess is $1999 at a minimum. I'll be quite shocked if it's $1799. With hand picked GPU cores, guaranteed Samsung memory, 3rd 8-pin power source and 280mm radiator, EVGA knows how valuable this card will be to us.

To be perfectly honest, I won't even be surprised if we see a launch price of $2200+. But... if, for some reason, it's priced below $1800 (yeah right), I'll be returning my $1399 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra to Microcenter and splurging on the Kingpin, instead. The resale value will remain higher over the next 12-24 months than all other 2080ti's and that alone could make it well worth the jump. But if we see prices creeping up to $2k+, I'll stay away.

    A couple of things...

First, the Samsung memory thing isn't a big deal, the last six 2080Ti's I've picked up have all had Samsung memory. Secondly there are already 2 cards on the market with 3x 8-pin PCIE connectors and neither are anywhere near $1999 let alone $2200. Third, there is already a card with 240mm CLC with full cover block and it's nowhere near even $1799. Even their own AIO Hybrid cards are the same price as their FTW3 cards... there is no premium for that. So we can assume maybe an extra $50 in this case due to the bigger radiator.

There is no real justification to charge $1999+ outside of the claim of rarity due to limited production, which does have some merit. Yes the PCB is beefed up, yes the GPU's are hand-picked (probably the most important part, along with the unlocked vBIOS) but those things alone, while awesome, don't add up to that big a premium objectively speaking. Subjectively it's another story entirely...

The 1080Ti KPE was only $200 more than the FTW3 if I remember correctly. Realistically you could say this one could be $300 more due to the CLC which would put us at $1799. I think anywhere between $1749-$1899 would be a "fair" or "realistic" price, but that doesn't mean they can't get away with charging more. People will pay for it. Like I said, I think it depends how generous EVGA is feeling, they could fleece us if they really wanted to!

I think it will be priced close to the MSI Lightning Z and GALAX/KFA HOF cards, as those are its closest competition. For reference I believe the Lightning is $1599 and the GALAX/KFA is $1799 (with full cover block, OC panel etc.). I am hoping for somewhere around the $1799 mark, give or take $50.

After seeing kingpin's own card only running at 2200mhz on idle in the vid from gamers Nexus I don't get the hype. The cooling is nice, the LED panel is nice, but aside from that I don't think it's gonna be any massive upgrade performance wise. That's only 40mhz faster than my ftw3, and there are guys with waterblocks running a good bit higher than that. If I was gonna spend the extra couple hundred I'd likely just get a hydrocopper ftw3

The thing most people forget about KPE's is they are designed for LN2 world-record benching attempts. Gaming is sort of an afterthought, though that doesn't mean a lot of people don't use them for strictly gaming. It's a HALO product... same reason some people buy Titans, they have the money and want the best, full-stop.

I don't think they are that goofy at EVGA! I can't see them being rapacious enough to go beyond $1999.99 at the absolute extreme. I think they would still sell-out no problem at $2249 but I also think it would rub more than a few people the wrong way if they went that high... it would be a departure from the norm for them no doubt.

I am going to need an associates code for sure. I can't join elite yet because they don't recognized the GTX 980 I purchased from them before as a qualifying product.  Boo.. I want to be an associate.  I guess after I buy the card it will qualify me but that is putting the cart before the horse.

I have been a registered EVGA dude since 2007 :)  well technically before.  That was when I signed up on the boards.

Thankfully it's not hard to find/use associates codes. I don't think there is some finite limit to how many times someone's code can be used to purchase something so you can just click on the first Associates Code banner you see and voila, should be good to go. I was kinda miffed at first when I thought it was exclusive to Associates Members only but thankfully it was clarified.

My guess would be the price is going to be really high since we could see the associate code drop it $100.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

My guess would be the price is going to be really high since we could see the associate code drop it $100.

It will be interesting indeed to see if EVGA goes into 'full-avarice' 'full-nvidia' mode. I remain hopeful they won't gouge... it would be a bad move IMHO. Artificially inflating the price and then offering a discount would also be in bad faith.

*Edit- One more thing, Associates Members can't use Associates Codes afaik so that makes it even more unlikely that will be the scenario.

    First forum post!
I have been holding out on a FTW3 so that I can get a Kingpin.  Can anyone from EVGA officially confirm whether EU customers will get a chance to buy one or what the EU release plans are?

Hey everybody this is my first post here, I'm watching the TEAMEVGA Live from PAX East - Day 4 right now is it sounding to you guys like they will be accepting pre-orders on Monday 04/08/2019 for the Kingpin card? That's what it sounded like to me during that preview, I was just seeing if that's what you guys got out of it or if its just wishful thinking on my end.

    Thanks for the help,
