I am considering picking up a 3090 through the DIY configurator. When I get to add a power supply, I was presented with a dizzying selection of GA, GT, GQ, etc, so many different lines of EVGA PSUs, all with a 10-year warranty. I am considering the 1000-1200 watts PSUs, Gold or Platinum, but I am just not sure of the hierarchy of the different product lines. Given that JonnyGuru site is no longer there and there are probably scant reviews of PSUs, is there a basic guide or summary of the various product lines, or something such as GT > GQ > GA? Thanks in advance.

I do know the different ratings, Titanium, Platinum, Gold, etc. It is just that EVGA has too many product lines and I cannot tell which is a better PSU (better capacitor, OEM, etc). I can't go by the price either because some of the Gold units are more expensive than the Platinum because the Platinum units happen to be on sale. They now have P2 and P3 Platinum, I would think P3 is the latest and better made?

Just another idea, you can go to a site like Newegg and use their "filter" (filter EVGA) and then "compare" options to better understand and hone in on a PSU that fits your needs. The compare feature gives a good quick overview/breakdown of the general basics regarding all the different PSUs out there.

Some good tips and info here, but looks like the only way to be sure is to dig in and search each product line one by one. One thing I read somewhere is that the GT line seems to use HEC as the OEM. I think I will pass on that one.

Either the P2 1200 or G2 1300 from the DIY Configurator. I had bad experiences with the G2 1300 as I am on the third one now. First one died with a loud pop, second one had issue coming out of sleep and BSOD occasionally. The one I am using now is the third from RMA, so I am quite hesitant to get it again. I also think the P3 1200 is made by FSP or HEC, hence the lower price. Edit: I may also get the 1000w P5 or G6. 1000w should be enough for my setup as well.
