I currently have an i7 9700k with rtx 2060 super sc and a 600w psu. Was wondering if my 600w would be enough if I was to upgrade to an evga rtx 2070 super (preferably xc version) Other hardware specifications: - 1 ssd 120gb - 2 7200rpm hdd - 1 optical disk drive - cooler master hyper evo 212 black edition air cooler - z390-e rog strix board - 3 120mm case fans

If you use the EVGA Power Meter, you'll get a 10% off discount code in your email just for using it, good for 30 days and only toward the purchase of a PSU in the US EVGA Store. The OuterVision Calculator is more detailed/better and the OuterVision Calculator engine is used by many PSU manufacturers for their calculators. Both those calculators will show you a recommended PSU.

600w should be enough. However what is the make and model of your power supply? They are not all created equal.

All the models call out a min 650 watt PSU on the product spec page. While there's usual a fudge factor in the recommendation, you didn't give the model of your PSU. A garbage model would be a definite no. A quality model you could probably get away with if you're not doing absurd clocks or running a dozen HDDs. Personally, the last thing to cheap out on is the one thing that if it blows, can take the rest of the system with it.

For what you have listed, you should be OK. I'm assuming you aren't running your system heavily overclocked and if so you should be fine.

Should be good to go as everyone stated, keeping it simple and not running any OCs.

I have 2080ti (overclocked) plus 9900k (overclocked) - power consumption in games is about 450-550 watts. I can get ~800w only in OCCT with linpack+gpu (PSU stress test). So 600w for 2070 should be fine even overclocked :)

While it might be ok I would be looking for what sales come up and considering an upgrade. A good PSU is something that can last more then one build so it's always something that is good to invest in one higher then what you need now. Also while a PSU might be able to pull at the extreme 1600W it will only use what power the hardware in the system needs. I think if you find a good deal on a 750W or 850W it would last a couple builds.

As I already mentioned I am using an i7 9700k stock (non oc'd) and an evga rtx 2060 super sc. I'm planning to upgrade my gpu into 2070 super xc with my current 600w psu

As previously stated you should be fine. If you do have the money though, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to get a discount bundle on a 2070S and a 750 or 800 Watt PSU to give yourself some more headroom.
