Will the 3090 Ti FTW3 Black restock frequently? I am planning on buying one. I am not interested in the other two models.

You might get lucky if you keep checking back, but more than likely most stock will be FTW3 ultra cards. They may have stock of the black from time to time but probably not often. If you wanted to get a card in a reasonable time frame I would probably focus on the ultra. Just be happy it's only a $200 premium. When the 3090 first came out the FTW3 ultra was a $300 premium over the black/MSRP and the only SKU you could reasonably get.

Super stoked that I got my EVGA RTX 3090 TI FTW3 today because I primarily use it for playing MSFS2020 in VR. Unfortunately, MY Pimax 9kx headset doesnt seem to work with this card, it is not recognizing that the HGMI/DP cable is plugged into the display port. I have everything updated, checked and rechecked. was working fine earlier today on my 3080 TI before the upgrade. I am trying to get a response from PiMax support and EVGA but nothing yet. Just a caution out there for anyone in a similar situation. I'll update as soon as something changes.

I wouldn't recommend paying a premium to get a card.  It's very obvious now that 3000 series stock isn't tight anymore (probably with more production and less demand with everyone waiting for the 4000 series).  Like I can go buy a 3090 on Amazon now...a year ago bots would vacuum all those cards up instantly.  Even EVGA's 3090 Ti Black was available for an entire day.

EVGA Jacob has stated:

  • EVGA strongly suggests to keep the FTW3 ULTRA or XC3 ULTRA models due to consistent supply compared to limited supply on K|NGP|NHYDRO COPPER and HYBRID due to supply constraints.

Now, I don't know if supply constraints is meant towards COVID/shutdowns but I think in general, it's always been like that in every release.

Bots and flippers quit buying when the street price dropped. That's why you can find them now. There's thousands of cards on ebay that are going for a loss or just perpetual relisting now.

While supply isn't tight anymore, EVGA probably won't be putting that supply into the black cards. They will go into the ultra cards. Yes the blacks were in stock for a day. Just a day. Probably won't be much more. All a chip has to do to be an "ultra" is hit 1920Mhz and most if not all chips can do that. So most if not all chips will go into ultra cards. That's why the "ultra" boost clock in very low. So they can produce more ultra cards.

Everyone's situation is different. For the $200 saved it could be spent on a pair of high-end 32GB DDR4 RAM or budget DDR5 RAM. And I don't know the points of a higher factory clocked card or ULTRA in the product name. More like I am into the cooling design than anything else. I hate hot GDDR6X VRAM.

Last but most importantly, I happened to sell my non-LHR 3080 (which I bought at 2x msrp) at reasonable price. That explains the situation why I am willing to buy a 3090 Ti at msrp, if possible. I am not the one who spends money on everything just because it is the best of the best.

just a fyi, you need three 8 pin atx power connectors, will not work with two 8 pin and one 6 pin power connectors (or any combination of 6 pin).  the card is checking for ground on one of the extra ground pins.

Hello all,

Will the previous HydroCopper blocks for 3080Ti/3090 FTW3 Ultra work on the 3090Ti FTW3 Ultra?  If not, when can we expect to see one offered by EVGA?  The air cooler works fantastic; however, I have a custom loop going to waste.

Thanks in advance.

The 3090Ti FTW3 Ultra is much cooler than the 3090 FTW3 Ultra.  I sold my 3090 FTW3 Ultra on launch day and I am completely happy with my decision.  I actually thought something was wrong comparatively due to the low temperatures of both the memory and the GPU.  Just to be clear, the 3090FTW3 Ultra was perfectly fine, but the Ti has cooler temperatures all around while maintaining a 100+ higher clock rate.  Another thing to note is that I have not seemed to be able to hit the power limit on the Ti which is something I could easily do on the non Ti card.  It may not be worth it at face value, but as you stated a 3080 vanilla was $2000 just a few weeks back.  It's all relative I guess, but the card performs fantastic fwiw.

No and I don't think EVGA has announced the release of a Hybrid kit for the 3090 Ti.

It does run so much cooler then the regular 3090 and holding the clock speeds because the card isn't temp throttling. It's a massive cooler though, so it better keep the card cool. I love mine, hands down the best air cooled card I have ever owned. I normally buy EVGA's Hydro Copper cards or put an EK block on my cards. Not the case with this 3090 Ti card, the air cooler works so well it's staying on the card.

That's not correct. I bought a 3090 Ti Black and am in queue for the 3090 Ti Hydro Copper card.

Check your My Notifies and see if you're not already in queue for a 3090 Ti as you can only queue for 1 GPU chipset at a time.

You don't have to queue for the 3090 Ti air cooled cards. They're already available to just purchase.

My associates code is O1RWT3TOQ5NNXP8 if you wanna help !e get my EVGA score up :)

The card is already OC'ed, so there's not really room for much more, you might see the KPE get a 1200w bios but that wont help you unless you bolt on an LN2 pot

The 3090 Ftw3 was also already oced and still they launched a 500 watts bios, the higher tier model should end up with a less wattage bios than the lower one? Doesnt make sense tbh. Asus also made a 520 Watt Bios for the 3090 Ti Strix Lc, so at least 520 watts XOC would be nice. The Cooler has enough room for more wattage

Must be card-specific. My 3090 Ti does not oveclock much either (as posted in another thread) but you can see/read other posts with better experience. So YMMV. But it is remarkably quite and cool.

I ordered the Gaming because it was the only thing available when I went to make the order, Its 1890 boost clock, Ultra is 1920, I think Steve got a binned sample for the GN review, I have got a 15220 Port Royal out of it, stock is 14630, I have been able to get about 1k extra point on an OC on other 30 series , but not this one. Its pretty close to tapped out in stock configuration, they are binning between Black , Gaming and Ultra but the separation is mighty small for the 2k black +150 Gaming +200 Ultra
