If available please let us know the width in inches/mm as well (how much is 2.2 slot). Working in an ITX case so exact dimension would be very helpful

It's been a long time since I've purchased a HydroCopper Card.  Are they the same as a FTW 3 with an EVGA water block?

I am only guessing, but based on the product list, there seems to be an FTW3 hydrocopper and an XC3 hydrocopper.

Having a 9900k with maximus hero xi I don't have a pcie4 ready rig. Will it be a big loss?
Worst case scenario when running a 2080Ti at PCIe3 x8, you would see a 5-7% hit. So if a 2080Ti could barely saturate PCIe3 x8, there’s no way a 3090 could saturate PCIe3 x16.

3090 is powerful but not that powerful. Gen 4 is smart future proofing though.

Two different waterblocks. The xc3 and FTW 3 hydro copper. But plan on a couple of months.

  • I'm not sure why people assume bots are buying cards over regular people.  It was a popular reason for why 20-Series cards were always out of stock, which completely ignored literal supply and demand issues (lots of people wanted them, but there weren't many initially).  Yes, there are per person quantity caps for each card.  Yes, we require captcha to login, which is also required to create a profile.  This should help to comfort some of you.

You only have captcha for creating profiles, not for orders. Creating a profile and signing in are the only "are you a human" steps in the whole process. Once a profile is created and signed in, past this point all it takes is a script to constantly monitor and refresh pages, and then click the appropriate buttons and fill out the appropriate forms. You need to integrate captcha into the ORDERING process, not just the profile creation. There needs to be verification that an actual human behind every single order, not just their script.

EDIT: I need to add that I have personally seen Midweek Madness sales literally be out of stock within 15-25 seconds after they go live on numerous occasions. Provided there might be extremely limited stock on these items, the amount of times that I have witnessed sort of reduces the possibility that humans are clawing up every single good deal in that short amount of time.

Also, to answer about half the questions in this thread:
  • Currently no pre-order planned.  Similarly, no pricing is available at this time.
  • Like the US store, we cannot generally comment on availability at this time for the EU store.  Availability, however, will not be any sooner than the dates NVIDIA mentioned for each GPU.
  • HYBRID, HC, and KPE cards will come a bit later than the XC3 and FTW3 cards.  No ETA to give you, which is probably your next question.
  • HYBRIDs will be 240mm, except for KPE HYBRID, whch will be 360mm.  No plans for a 120mm HYBRID at this time.
  • HYBRIDs will be 2 Slot.
  • XC3 cards will all be 2.2 slots.  Length is 11.23in. - 285.37mm / Height is 4.38in. - 111.15 mm.
  • FTW3 cards will be 2.75 slots.  Length is 11.81in. - 300mm / Height is 5.38in. - 136.75mm.
  • There will be an EVGA NVLINK.  No ETA at this time.
  • Since I've seen this mentioned incorrectly, all cards are 3 DisplayPort, 1 HDMI.
  • PowerLink is expected to work with the XC3 models.  For obvious reasons, it will not work with the 3090/3080 FTW3 cards due to the number of PCIe power connectors.  Either way, we will have the compatibility list updated when the cards are available on the website.
  • Step-Up will begin when cards are available.  Products will not be listed prior to general availability.  I would expect one of the XC3 models will be listed for availability, but we will make that decision prior to general availability.

Just please answer me if this size you said of XC3 cards ( 2.2 slots.  Length is 11.23in. - 285.37mm / Height is 4.38in. - 111.15 mm. ) it's going to be for the EVGA RTX 3090 XC3.

Thanks very much.

If you watch nvidia graphs and on nvidia website you can see they used new i9 generation for testing. We can use 3000 series without problem. I guess 4000 series will be problem for pcie gen3 motherboards but we will get pcie gen4 from intel in 2021.

I forgot what the criteria is to get elite membership, but IMO there would be a lot more positives than negatives to let elite members have a 24 or 48 hour chance to order from a portion of the available GPUs on launch (i.e. enough GPU for 5% of the elite membership pool, for example, 500 GPUs if there are 50,000 elite members). If this portion is bought up, then no more portion set aside for elite members, and they have to try buying from the normal stock.

Either way, if I have to spend some weeks hunting for an EVGA GPU, I think I'd be okay with it. EVGA makes very good coolers and the warranty is the best.

It will be the best card. Nvidia CEO said Titan will be called 3090. Titan cards are always top cards in generation.
I think we will see next year 3080 Super, 3070 Super, etc... (around august 2021)

How thick is each card? I have a max clearance of 44mm in my NZXT H210i.

Edit: actually just checked the thickness of my 1660 super black in my H210i and it’s a 2.75 slot thiccboi so to answer anyone having the same question, 2.75 slot variety will fit but adjustments may be needed for length.

The ftw3 has usually been a better binned chip that has a higher power limit for better overclocking and the hybrid features what most know as an AIO cooler, before it was a 120mm rad but now will be 240mm for the hybrids and 360 for the king pin card.

Do you have any test data to compare your cooling setup on these cards compared to NVidias new reference design?  Seems NVidia put a lot of thought into this new design with some extreme thermal dynamics.  Your coolers appear to follow the traditional means, so I'd love to know if these cards cool better or worse than NVidias reference design.

3080 FTW3 is overclocked gpu with more features added like monitoring memory temp, checking power draw etc...
3080 xc3 is just FE card with AIB cooler. You can monitor GPU temp and thats it.
3080 Hybrid is watercooled gpu, also overclocked and with all other features like FTW3

Does 2.2 mean it has a backplate, anyway we can get the whole dimension?  Thanks!

Is it safe to assume that the 3080 XC3 will be the reference PCB design, and the FTW3 will be a custom PCB?  This was usually the case with previous gens.

I only want the reference PCB so I can buy a third party waterblock, such as Heatkiller.

I am so excited. Albeit I wanted NVLINK. Seems only the 3090 will allow it now? I have two 2080Tis now that work for most games (after tweaking) mainly RDR2

I imagine it's been asked a million times in the 8 pages - but when do we think we can order from EVGA direct?

I believe the 3090 is the new Titan, and there's never been a Titan Ti, although having said that, after the Titan X Pascal they did release a slightly improved Titan Xp, which was kind of annoying for the Titan X Pascal owners at the time (me). Looking at the specs, I imagine the 3090 will remain the 'biggest' card of this series though. Of course I could be wrong...

I've read a rumor that there won't be a 3080Ti, but I don't believe it. There's a big gap between the 3080 and the 3090 both in performance (specs) and price, so plenty of room for a ~$900-$1,000 card with maybe 16GB memory and a few added bells to compete with whatever AMD may spew forth later this year.

Then there's probably the Super, SuperXXL, and BFD cards further down the line..  lol

Hybrid cards have a closed-loop cooler attached to them ( sealed radiator attached to a pump on the card )

XC3 I'm assuming is going to be their baseline card with the 3 noting 3 fans

FTW3 is probably going to have higher clocks than the XC3 card ( ~5% increase)

take a look at the RTX 2000 series cards and that should give you an idea of what the differences are but hey all new stuff could be different from previous generation card stacks

It's been a long time since I've purchased a HydroCopper Card.  Are they the same as a FTW 3 with an EVGA water block?

I am only guessing, but based on the product list, there seems to be an FTW3 hydrocopper and an XC3 hydrocopper.

Yes, that's how it has been for a while now. I have been custom water cooling since 1080 Ti and have purchased the HC series. My advice is to buy the air cooled version and purchase the HC block separately. I believe the air cooled versions have better resale value as most are not water cooling and you have the heatsink/fan as backup because buying one is nearly impossible.

Another minor issue with the HC blocks is EVGA doesn't allow you to take apart the block for deep cleaning. I've had color particles separate from the fluid and coat everything. I just use clear now for that reason which reduces maintenance.
