I think the size of the NVIDIA Founders Edition 3090 has spooked a lot of people.  Our 3090 FTW3 cards, for example, are slightly shorter on height and length than our 2080 Ti FTW3 cards.  Still 2.75 slots, but with a dual-slot I/O bracket, rather than a 3-slot bracket.

So its safe to say if i used 2080ti ftw3 (3 slot) in sli i can use 3090 ftw3 cards in sli (2.75 slots). I used 80mm nvlink on MSI x299 Creation (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-X299-CREATION/Gallery#lg=1&slide=1)

Notice that the NVLink socket fingers on the new 3090 are spread differently that the ones on the old 2080Ti. Looks like Nvidia will be releasing a brand new NVLink Bridge for the 3000 series cards

Yes that is on the Nvidia pages. A new smaller designed SLILink Bridge exclusively for the 3090.

No preorders; but if KPE is released to EVGA Elite Members first, like the 2080 TI KPE, we're golden.

I was wondering about this myself.  Bought a 2080, then stepped up to a 2080ti a couple of years ago and thought that the "Elite Members" membership would mean something for existing customers on next gen releases.   I'm really shocked to read that EVGA has a system that allows bulk buying to bots/whatever.   It's not that hard to limit purchases - at least not initially to the customers who clearly would like to remain loyal.

Give elite members a chance to preorder.

Honestly no one cares what NVidia is saying, we are asking EVGA for their information which they are not providing for some idiotic reason....

It's been widely covered in rumors that AIBs cards would be available on the launch day along with the founders edition. The more comments I read the more it looks like you people can't hold your bladder. It's 16 days till founders will be on sale. What you gonna do yap and cry that EVGA isn't selling them today... lol: kek:

Yeah no sale from me till I can buy a 3090 hybrid .

I really would like to buy one of these and not have to go through the insanity that was my 1080Ti hybrid nightmare of having 3 store pages open pressing F5 all day long hoping one would show up somewhere.

Also EVGA I hope you fixed your order pages so that when I put it in my cart it reserves one card and I can actually put in my CC# in to buy it. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to get to the order checkout put in the CC# and be greeted by we sold out.

To add on this, for the XC3 it says 2.2 slots, is the .2 the back plate or is it above the bracket more than a 2 slot card?  How long is the 3080 XC3 and is this card two or three power connectors?

I hope we get a list of cards coming out on the 24th at least. Not down to stay up if only 2-3 skus will be released for the 3090 at launch.

I also hope that there will be a limit of 1 for any new 3000 series card for the time being. With COVID etc there will most likely be a shortage. If there is whoever has stock gets my card first.

How many people need to ask for preorders before you will change your mind? It is pro-consumer to be queued up and not have to fight over the stock of cards knowing we are on a list for one.

Or how about, and just stick with me for a second i know this will be tough for you to understand, how about we actually release information and allow people to purchase the hardware that we are hyping up. I know crazy right, but yes they could do that. No paper launches, no hyping vaporware or imagined products, no hey here is this awesome hardware that no one can buy for MSRP. How about they announce all the info and give actual consumers the ability to purchase the product, and stop repeating the same failed launches over and over again. Just a thought.... lol: kek:

I'm surprised at how many people are willing to pull the trigger on the 3090. I'm patiently waiting to upgrade my 980 Ti to a 3080. Looks like it'll be the perfect sweet spot for 1440p and 144Hz gaming.

They may not know how many cards they will have right up until release. I bet nvidia is still waiting as the reason for no pre orders. Looks bad to take customer money and make them wait 3-5 months cause of supply issues

Will there at least be an option to sign up to be notified when the 3080's will be in-stock and available to purchase? Please message me with a link to that if possible. Thanks!!

Some of us waited 1.5 to 2 months for the 2080ti to actually ship

I think if we all ask really nicely, EVGA will inbox us a preorder link.  We just have to send a picture of our ankles to determine we are human and not Mark Zuckerberg.

Is there a page up with the physical dimensions of these cards yet? I am worried about how long they are going to be, at least for the 3080 FTW

For Gods Sake, Let the Elite members atleast have pre orders, If not im going to have to take off work Sept 24th, I can assure you that getting a 1080Ti was a crapshoot and from the looks of responses here,  the 2080Ti  fared no better. Something needs to change. Whether its a lottery system or whatever.  Elite Members>Members>General Public>robot  buyers.

I hope we get pricing information on the 3090s before the 3080s go on sale.  I would like to know what the differential will be (I don't trust the nVidia MSRP, who knows that the upcharge will be)

I agree, they should be screening loyalty customers to the front of the line. Its a no brainer. I tell you what if they leave us all to try and fight the bots. We should boycott and jump ship to another company this gen. I bet if we start organizing right here they will notice and do something.

Hello, I've not been active before on this forum in a long time. I'm eager to upgrade my gfx (980ti) and was leaning towards evga with aditional warranty (5 years) and get the RTX 3080 FTW. I was really pleased with the 1080ti design by evga and the 2000 series kinda disapopinted (plastic looking). I don't really know what to find of this card. I don't like the red accents really, specially if people have another colour in their build this is kinda weird. Why not just remove the red? Now I'm looking for the XC3 edition without RGB/red rims. The cooling solution looks smaller though, is this correct?

I really wish evga would make something like the 1080ti FTW again because that card was the most beautiful pascal card of all.

I would rather not sacrifice the quality, the great RMA and warranty policies and the step-up program to buy another brand, personally. It would be nice for Elite members to get some form of perk, but I am sure EVGA will do the best they can.

here is hoping the 3090 FTW3 HYDRO COPPER is available on day 1.  Time to repurpose the 2080 HC to another rig and place the the 3090 in its place. ðŸ‘€

This is why I'm here!

Agreed, I have been using EVGA graphic cards for more years than I care to try and remember.
Still hanging my hat on them, they have always done great. I use their motherboards also.

If there's no preorder or bot prevention then I'll get a card elsewhere. As I'm not waiting 6 months or paying double.

I think they need to change to what nvidia does. Once it’s in your cart then you can have it for x amount of minutes before it goes back into the pool to be ordered. But they also need 1 card limits so bots can’t buy tons of them to markup
