finaltouch68 Yep they got me I didn't realize this was for as counsel capture. Waisted my money here. I really was wanting to use this PC to PC but as of now this will become and box on the shelf with product in it never to use. Well maybe I can talk my son into using it who knows......................
I use this for a dual PC stream setup... It's not just for consoles.
Can you explain your set up in detail. I have to rigs and would like to use this tool I spent money on instead of leaving it in the box. Thanks in advance.

Can you use a USB C to USB C connection to the PC? It would be nice to free up a USB port. TIA

Not sure but I have figured out how to run a dual pc set up. I have DPI running to the monitor for game play. On the GPU I ran a HDMI to the input on the XR1 then the USB cable from the XR1 to the other computer. Walla it sends video over to the 2nd pc. Still trying to get the sound to send though lol. If there is a place to learn this set up please send me the link.

Will the passthrough work for a VR headset including the sound? Got zero interest in capture right now, but I plan for anything down the road, $100 VR extender or many more features and a solid product for a little more.
Not a hard choice...I always find some way to use anything like this with multi-connections (usually not the intended ones lol), but that would be my reason to purchase now.
I can't find anything on the main site specific about this...and in honesty I'm too ADD for massive reading and page hopping lol.
I'm still waiting on my GPU, maybe a purchase I actually want will take me off the robot list hahaha.
Side note to EVGA:
Why are you still releasing cards? Can't you put the concept out there as they exist and will be sold after we catch up on current orders.
its starting to make me feel like I'm wasting my life waiting loyally, considering the queue takes no consideration of who was truly in it first between different cards...which defeats the entire purpose in my opinion.

Still not DisplayPort capture. You have to clone a signal to send to a second PC if you want to use high refresh rate, and g-sync, and the first PC is still working the same as if you just used a single PC without a cap card? What am I missing here? Is the point not to relieve the primary PC of the work load. Damn USB trash. From reading everything, if you want to use G-Sync and/or 144hz, and keep 100% of your GPU, you will need 2 PCs and 3 GPUs. and the CPU will still suffer? **** is going on. There is no logical reason for using 2 computers unless you have live cams on top of your game, and even then you will have to combine the streams at some point. this is getting ridiculous. However this device looks to be a great capture card, as far as PC to PC game streaming, I really don't get it. EDIT: I forgot to mention the price is great for this device as a capture source and it's capabilities, I just don't see the need for it for game streaming. I mean I want this for doing streaming of BIOS, and stuff, so you can do PC tutorials, and troubleshooting, etc.. and stream a windows 10 install even. or boot from, a flash drive and recover data on live stream. So it is a great piece of hardware.

These things are completely different things. It's like comparing apples and t-shirts :P. Capture device is for capturing something from external device - from camera, from console, from another pc.

This thing is pretty and all, but how does it compare with some of the Elgato products, I've got a 4k elgato Cam Link, works fine, but this the EVGA looks pretty. How do they compare?
Register your products with my code please! I'll make it worth your while ;) Use my associate code to save 3% on your EVGA GPU purchase! And up to 10% on other products! Use CDPGWU2BO6QBD6I. Works with "EVGA Double 50" to get an additional percentage off.

No really impressed at all. I own the Avermedia GC555. And it totally destroys the XR1. The GC555 can record up to 2160p60 HDR / 1440p144 / 1080p240 with less than 50ms of latency. I guess the XR1 is a bit limited by the slow USB 3.0 bandwidth, vs the TB3 for the GC555 Looking forward to see a more high end version from EVGA in the future.

Can you just hook up a PS5 to your computer? do you have a HDMI input in your GPU? That's not very common.
