They say out of stock because they haven't been offered for sale yet...

I am with ya buddy, I have been on all the major outlets since 3am EST and have not seen anything available, let alone any pre-order pages up. Everywhere I have looked shows the cards but no option to pre-order or buy.

Now it says "Preparing for shipment". I think I was lucky enough to snatch these in preorder.

I find it curiously strange that you were able to get an EVGA card even before EVGA has released them. They usually are released by the Manufacturer then released to Amazon, NewEGG etc....

I do, I am responding to people claiming they have pre-ordered and procured theirs already.

Amazon (probably accidentally) briefly listed a pre-order a week ago, I guess those orders are shipping now. See post #120 (last post on page 4) of this thread.

Yeah... me too. However it shipped already!!!! I think that amazon listed them by mistake because after than the page was dead.

So the global release is 6am tomorrow, I believe. We've already discussed here that per Twitter, EVGA's release is supposed to be tomorrow at noon (central time, I believe? Please correct me if I'm wrong!)

The listings are on Newegg and Best Buy. Best Buy is quite random on when they put stuff up for sale on their site. Sometimes it doesn't even happen on the official launch day, so who knows with them!!

Does anyone know what time Newegg tends to activate their listings? On the 3060ti release, Newegg had a LOT of them, and early buyers were able to successfully purchase.

EDIT: Tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time, so 11am central, 10am mountain.

There's no way that anyone can possibly know that. Just get in the queue as soon as you possibly can if you want one. Bear in mind that leaks are saying this card is only about 10% - 15% faster than a 2060.

Not sure how anyone can be surprised if the stock is gone is seconds.. there are people who have been in queues for some 3080 models for over 5 months now and are still waiting. The only 'saving grace' with the 3060 is that NVidia have apparently gimped it for miners, so that may reduce the demand, but the scalpers will still be there being the total scum they are.

I may even try to get one, but only for the reason to sell it again to a member here in the forums at cost, my theory being that it would be one less card going to a scalper.

Here ya go mai dudes:

12G-P5-3657-KR - 3060 XC3 Gaming
12G-P5-3655-KR - 3060 XC3 Black
(note this links may not work until the product pages are live in roughly 10 hours and some change)

Good luck on getting in before the site crashes, or right after the site is done crashing - this also has a code for 3% off already set in it so that should be automatically applied for anyone that's not a member of the Associate's Program.

I would assume that people that get in the queue nice & early today will have their cards shipped this week as eVGA should have at least (guessing, no clue what amount they have) in the high hundreds or low thousands on hand for a launch.

Just another Scalpers parodise.

Just one more thing to fail to be able to buy under the pretense that you can. Nvidia is cashing in on the scalpers and the miner's. So are the board companions just like EVGA here.

The scalpers are controlling the market by preventing as many people as they can from being able to buy them at reasonable prices. Instead forcing them to either buy their overpriced card or wait for the never ending cycle. As long as they maintain their grip on the market they will prevent the people that want them from getting them.

EVGA and Nvidia are completely happy selling their stock to scalpers. Because of greed. Their customers don't go anywhere and their customers can't buy video cards at all. Perpetual market destabilization.

The ps5 market has already made more than 35 million dollars profit scalping them in just a few months. The video card market has been going for even longer and the scalpers are the only people winning.

The only way to stop this garbage is either the Govt. steps in and puts an end to it. Or a vigilante ends the problem a lot more terminally. Either way, **** these companies and their greed.

I have to disagree. EVGA lets you join the queue and wait for your turn. Yes, you will be sharing it with some scalpers, however as long as you jump in early you have a chance to buy it at MSRP. Not even retailers are willing to sell you a card at MSRP.

NVidia Cashing in on miners, yes, cashing in on Scalpers - what?  That makes no sense.  All Scalpers do is mess up the market, NVidia does not see any "additional" profit from people scalping the cards.

eVGA's queue system is pretty much the best you can do to combat scalping - making it impossible for people to buy multiple of the same card to the same address, combating it further than that would cost too much resources.  The vast majority of cards seen on EBay etc are most likely coming from retailers with zero quantity control in place, like some stores are.
Either way, neither eVGA nor NVidia profit in any real way from scalping - if anything, it makes them look bad because the card is out of stock & they, in particular NVidia, are being heavily blamed for having a botched launch with insufficient supply that has only gotten worse.  This kind of damage to a reputation would be pretty damning for a smaller company - unfortunately NVidia is far & away the largest share of the dGPU market, both in the personal computer space, as well as enterprise level stuff.

As for the consoles, that's what happens when you have impatient console plebs wanting their precious consoles NOW NOW NOW - same deal to a lesser extent with GPU buyers, if we all had a little patience & refused to pay the prices, scalping wouldn't be a thing, but because there's always going to be those people initially that want it NOW, there will always be scalping due to simple supply & demand on launches of new high-demand products.

As I've stated in other threads, this whole situation is pretty bad for eVGA, calling them greedy in this instance is completely false.  As a company that ONLY makes NVidia GPUs (not AMD ones), they are literally at the mercy of NVidia's supply to them, which is much lower than normal, so eVGA is having to prioritize higher-end SKUs to remain in operation until supply stabilizes.  Like it or not, that's pretty much what the situation is.  Expanding in to the keyboard, mouse & other markets might help them offset the loss in revenue a bit, but if I had to guess, I'd say their expected profit line on GPUs by this time after launch should probably be at least double what it currently is, because supply for both NVidia's GPU dies, as well as VRAM chiplets, and other components, have all been effected by production issues, and shortages, some of which were due to COVID, others not.

If anything, we should be happy eVGA at least setup the queue system, otherwise the only people that would have their cards would be bots & bots only, and maybe one or two people that get lucky before each drop sold out to bots.

Re: Introducing EVGA RTX 3060 12GB Built for Gamers 2021/02/25 01:40:30 (permalink)
The queue is just another way to 'dispose' of buyers and not actually to sell cards. I have been in the queue and I want a higher end card. Of which the queue isn't doing **** for. The queue could of been wonderful if EVGA actually stated how many cards each week they are sending out to each of the lines of cards. But you don't see that at all. Because we would know that less than 10 cards a month are getting sent out to people on the queue. Where as 1000's of cards get sent to stores all around each week. If it wasn't for the buyers creating a list to try to help other buyers. There wouldn't even be an interest to be fair.

EVGA is plenty happy with sales because no matter what they send out. It is bought up instantly. That is the bottom line. The demand because of scalpers is never ending. Because more scalpers buy cards instead of patient buyers that refuse to support crooks. Even when EVGA members identified as scalpers from Ebay were reported to EVGA, their response was "They are customers too and that EVGA supports anyone that buys their products."

The queue only works, when the company actually focuses on fulfilling the queue. Instead there are plenty of scalpers who have jumped onto many of the different queues to resell the cards. While customers like myself sit in 1 specific queue for just 1 card will never see any movement. EVGA is not interested in selling cards to their customers. They are only interested in selling cards to resellers like Best Buy and Amazon where it is a **** show fully supporting scalpers.

Has EVGA ever made a public notice denouncing support for Scalpers? Has EVGA ever had talks with other companies whom resell their cards to attempt to set in rigid anti-scalper sales for their products?

As I currently see someone who is telling me it isn't about greed but they clearly have it listed that they own and have a 3090 Kingpin video card. **** me for wanting to get a video card to actually use.

I would of been happy, had the queue actually been supported by EVGA. But it clearly isn't getting any support let alone focus. It is just a bandaid. We are coming up on 6 months and the progress in some of the queues are barely a few days. Literally at this rate I won't get a video card offer for the queue till some time after the next line is released and been available for a year. I'm supposed to be happy about that? I am not happy in the slightest bit.

Yeah, sorry. I don't have loads of cash just sitting around to buy up cards for ludicrous costs. I'm in the queue for a 3080 ftw3 ultra. I didn't get into the queue until I knew I could afford it. I'm just a person trying to keep his head down in the middle of this pandemic as it takes family and lives away from all around.

I don't have a clue what NaCI mining is. I really don't give a neither at this point. You are just another person who does not give a about anyone else. Which makes you the same as all the scalpers in my eyes.
