I've not been doing a lot of PC stuff recently. and...I can't recall if there is a way to test each drive in a RAID 0 array to see if they are ok. Been running into issues with them. Whole PC locking up and loosing the raid array. I know I can rebuild it/format the cards but is there a way to check it before i do any of that? it's 2 2tb drives, maybe 1/3rd full

I know you probably have already backed up the array and nothing changed in the bios.  The only thing that I remember working, is to break the array, test each drive individually and then rebuild the array from scratch.  I also don't remember any testing software that would check drives in RAID 0 arrays with any reliability.

Well. Luckily it's mostly steam games on the drive. Ill just back up what I need and split it then check them. Was hoping there was a way to check the array withought doing that. Thanks for the reply man!

As far as I am aware there is no method to check an array. An array either works or it doesn't work. Regardless of the RAID configuration having a backup is always essential.

Chrome, there are methods...S.M.A.R.T. is a good start..but many manufacturers have monitoring tools that will help you.

Who made the drives? See if they have a health monitoring tool...it will individually check drives. There's also the WMIC Tool

WMIC is a command-line interface to monitor the S.M.A.R.T. attributes of a hard drive.....it's just says "OK" or "Pred Fail" as I
    recall.

    Edit:

I forgot to say how to use WMIC
at the C:> prompt type wmic
    you'll get something like
    wmic:root\cli>
as a prompt....at this you type "diskdrive get status"

it either returns OK or the other ...Pred Fail

I've been riding my motorcycle more than anything. Have a 99 Victory V92c that's running rough and a 2006 sportster 1200 custom that isn't. Need to get my Victory back runnin tight again. That's what's been taking me away from PCs.
