    Hello,

I personally stream and may be able to help you out. What software are you using to stream with? Also, what is your upload / Download internet speed?

I personally use OBS. I am not very familiar with Streamlab's stream software, but I will still try to help you as much as I can. Are you able to adjust the bitrate of your upload? Twitch allows for a max bitrate of 6000 currently.
Some background of how streaming on Twitch works; if you are not an affiliate or partner with Twitch, other users will not be able to adjust the quality at which they watch your videos. If the bitrate is too high for the viewer, they will experience buffering. This seems to be what you may be encountering. You should start at a bitrate of 2000 - 2500 if you are not an affiliate or partner. Upon becoming an affiliate, move up from there as your upload speed allows. This will allow for a higher range of audience to view you, while preventing the buffering that you are experiencing.

Let me know if this helps out. I will be going home tonight and take a look at Streamlab's software and maybe I can help you out!

Yes, I was able to adjust my bitrate to 2500, I think I found a minor fix to this. I turned off my firewall and I was able to watch my own stream, unfortunately though I experience lag when I do stream now. Are you more familiar with nvidia shadowplay live stream? I was thinking about going back since I experience no lag on that software, but it keeps on disconnecting though. :(

    Thanks Jacob.

I used OBS StreamLabs auto setup this time around and it worked rather well. Adjusted a few settings rounded my bitrate to the nearest whole of 3500. Stream runs extremely well for myself. I get a upload of 5.5mbps right now. Wish that was higher

As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

Sorry for the late reply! I was not in the office. When you experience lag, this may be because of either how you are encoding (CPU or GPU), or the rate at which you are encoding. You can encode anywhere from Slowest => Fastest. The slower the encode, the better it will look, but the more resource hungry it is. The fast the encode, the more "compressed" it can look but will help prevent lag. Typically, I would rather encode slower and have a lower resolution, rather than fast but a high resolution. This is just me however.

Additionally, if you are using your CPU (the 4790k) to encode, you will probably have a bad time. I know. I've tried. You will need to ensure the GPU is encoding for your stream. I purchased a 7820X strictly for the ability to encode for my stream. My 4790 did not even want to try to do so. Just double check the GPU is encoding.

You just need to take some time and see what works and looks best to you!

Good luck on the streaming, and I hope you get it all setup!
