HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., today announced the HyperX Cloud Alpha S gaming headset is now shipping. The new addition to HyperX's gaming headset line-up features custom-tuned HyperX virtual 7.1 surround sound and bass adjustment sliders for three levels of bass fine-tuning providing listeners with a richer audio gaming experience.

The Cloud Alpha S offers the design and sound quality features found in the HyperX Cloud Alpha including dual chamber technology that separates bass frequencies from the mids and highs for more accurate audio. The custom-tuned HyperX virtual 7.1 surround sound with an advanced audio control mixer feature enables surround sound and the ability to adjust the mix between game and chat audio.
 
HyperX Cloud Alpha S is now available for £119.99 / €129.99 MSRP through HyperX's network of retail and e-tail outlets. For more information on HyperX Cloud Alpha S and global availability. I think the price is reasonable if the performance is equally good.

    virtual 7.1 surround sound in headset ... OK why ?
     
    I wonder if they could sound different - big difference - than virtual 5.1 surround sound ?

    I love my HyperX Cloud headset for Xbox that I purchased several weeks ago. Very premium build quality and metal. They sound great and allow me to talk with my friends on Xbox. I wonder what they would sound like on Windows 10?
