Hi. I just got notified about a 3060 Ti XC card. Had my account set, so all i had to do was pay.

After that i noticed the cards on Europe store of EVGA are sent from Taiwan! And i think it's not as in Taiwan»EU warehouse»EU customer. But directly from Taiwan.
After some google around i found another thread, were this EU customer got asked by DHL to pay a customs fee of €222!!

So yeah, beware. I hope i am wrong, but i already sent a cancel email to Evga Europe if this is the true case. Absolutely nuts if true...just when i got the chance to get a good 3060 Ti...this happens!

LE:  DHL asked for my ID to process the import and i also told them that EVGA will cover any other fees. Just so they know about this. And i just received email from DHL that the item is on it's way to me.
LE2: Guess it didnt work. Received another email from DHL, telling me to pay the import fees.

LE3: i've told DHL to look on the Commercial Invoice document, that they attached to the email message, and see that the item import fees have been paid by the sender. Clearly stating "DDP" (Delivered Duty Paid). They confirmed to me this and i will not have to pay anything anymore!

Normally a customs fees and import tax equates to the VAT rate of the EU country plus the import fee.

Yes, at least in Bulgaria (EU) as well, for PC components you have to pay 20% VAT (on both card value and shipping) + customs representation to the company (DHL/UPS/Postal service/other). There are no other import fees.

I had the same worries when I read they're shipping from outside the EU, then I found this Reddit thread after looking into duty stuff.
PC parts for Germany should be 0%, it's just a VAT issue and that will have been prepaid as stated on the invoices.

And it ate the link, sorry. -> on Reddit

According to OolonCaluphid there were no extra costs, just a bureaucratic SNAFU. EVGA's fault. I'm hoping they've streamlined the process and ironed out the kinks by now.

I will keep this updated. Waiting to see what Evga's EU support response to my email will be. Cancel or nothing to worry about.

    Hi EvgaJumbo,

it´s clearly stated on your order, that you only have to pay the shipping costs about 15.99 €, without any additional costs - even import fees will be covered by EVGA, so no worries - have fun with your card.

Yeah there is "Shipping via Tracked courier:15.99 €" in my order email that i received. I just wanted to be sure about this. Anyway DHL contacted me for my ID so they can process the import they say. Gave it to them and told them to contact you at that eu support email or call you, regarding import stuff. I will wait for their response now.

Update! Everything is cool now. Received another email from DHL that my shipment is on it's way to be delivered on Dec 17! So i was not asked about anything else regarding import duties or taxes.

    Thanks EVGA!

Too good to be true i guess. DHL sent me another email telling me that i need to pay the import fees/customs representation to the company. I don't know how much exactly but i will ask them. I think it's 30 euros.

They've also sent me copies of waybill doc and commercial invoice. On this one there's Delivered Duty Paid and Prepaid import tax/duty of 71.44. I guess this is the fee paid by EVGA EU. I sent them an email about this. I will see what they respond back.

VAT has been paid by me of course. I think the employee at DHL, who sent me the email, alongside the Commercial Invoice attached, did not looked at that Commercial Invoice which clearly states DDP, which means "DELIVERED DUTY PAID" aka paid by the sender. In this case EVGA. I notified DHL about this mistake and i will wait for an answer tommorrow as they are closed now it seems.

LE: Finally solved. DHL support responded back and it confirmed the DDP.  The fees were paid by EVGA. Finally!
