Of course if you block the update you won't get any of the new features and functionality.

New features as in app breakage and functionality as in BSODs when the new update fails to install correctly again??

As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

    Pretty much is.

Much like "You need to always be online to play this single player game" I will never support this kind of crap.

    Forcing updates is sheer stupidity.

Like taking away long standing simple shortcuts that save admins time. Woohoo extra clicks and more nearly useless settings pages to get in the way.

Just deleted 9 gigabytes of windows update stuff that was hidden on my computer thanks to Microsoft doing whatever they like with Windows 10.

No wonder I routinely have storage space issues, it appears that most software developers just like to put as much stuff as they can on machines, never delete old installers, and when you try to remove the software still keep files on your system for who knows what. Seriously considering some sort of software now to combat this nonsense. Any suggestions?
