And now, I promise, my final question: I see the 700W B model from EVGA is just $45 on Amazon. Is there any disadvantage of getting 700W over 500W? Like, will it output more heat (assuming in either case, my PC uses same amount of power)? Will it have louder fans? Will it have a shorter lifespan? Is there any advantage to get it as well? Let's say my system power max draw will be below 300W. Does it make a difference to get 500W or 700W?
Thanks!

You shouldn't notice any difference with heat or fan noise. It will only output what is required by your components. A power supply is most efficient when operating at 50% of its capacity. If anything it should last longer and be more efficient keeping your electric bill down by a little.

CoercionShaman I may have lost it reading through here as this goes all over the place (apologies if this is the case), but are you sure it will fit? A lot of those Dell cases have proprietary PSU components and the cases won't always accept another power supply. If you already did the measurements and/or you are comfortable with drilling any alignment holes then you are obviously good to go.
Wow man are you serious? I never did any measurements, but people were telling me it's a standard size that will fit.
I linked the image of the inside of the case of the PC in OP. Can you please kindly look at it and let me know? Would hate to buy and then realize it don't work. I am not comfortable drilling holes and what not.
I am very much serious. We use Dell at work and have run into the issue numerous times. They are getting much better about it, though. You can literally just measure the PSU you currently have and compare it to the measurements of the one you are planning on purchasing. And I'm with the others on the power. You can't have too much available and it will only draw what you need. If you can afford the 700W, buy the 700W.

Himmatsj, all you have to do is align the holes up with the PSU and then mark the spots where the holes need to be drilled at. That's the worst case if the PSU "does not fit". If it does, you're golden. You could also have someone help you do the customizing (the drilling) so the PSU fits. A friend, perhaps? If you have a Staple's store around, they can help you with this too. (Do not take it to Best-Buy.)

Also make sure the Fan is not on the Top when you install it, it needs to be on the Bottom or facing down.

Isn't it powered from the motherboard or the on/off switch panel?

I have no idea. It is 3-pin I think and the PSU doesn't have 3-pin connector, so I ask. However, since you mention, I believe it is powered directly by the motherboard.

himmatsj Another question. Can I use my own main power connector? Top right side: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71hAKLC7dAL._SL1200_.jpg That one isn't compatible with the standard three pin head in my country. Can I use the cable from my current Dell PC? My country's head is a bit flatter: https://media.cablesandkits.com/p/C9650098a.jpg
You'd better call EVGA support or submit a support ticket for that question about the main AC cable. I'd hate to give you the wrong answer and wind up being nicknamed "Sparky" for the rest of my life. There should be a fan connector on your motherboard marked CPU1 for your CPU cooler and several marked FAN1, FAN2, etc. Even if they are 4-pin connectors the 3-pin fan will work. There is a tab on the connector to make sure you don't connect it wrong. Just line up the tab on the motherboard connector with the slot on the fan's connector and you should be good to go. I hope this helps.
