I would like to mod my bios for the GT 710 such that the core becomes +350 and memory +300, permanently. I scoured the net but could not find a suitable Bios editor to do the tweaks and flash with nvflash/nvflash64. I did a backup of the firmware and all looks good except NiBiTor can't open it, it is incompatible with what it supports. If I had another spare card I would attempt tweaking the HEX values in the *.rom file, but I do not know which values represent the clock speed and memory speeds, so I may end up bricking the card. It runs fine with those settings if overclocked with afterburner.
Is EVGA against customers modding their cards and perhaps not being keen on rushing back to the store to purchase newer models or what? I feel they should be the ones who supply the BIOS modding tools, not for users to become black-hat hackers just to get a little performance boost permanently applied to the hardware bought at full cost... nowadays things should be accessible, if I fry the card it's ok because its mine and I would probably be back to shop for more... good for business I guess. If someone can help me with the mod or the alternative tool to edit with, please let me know. Thanks
