Gigabyte and MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti custom cards listed by New Zeland and Australian retailers - VideoCardz.com
 
Last week we reported that Polish X-Kom has begun listing MSI RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X without a price before the new SKU has even been announced. There hasn’t been any other retailer listing this SKU yet. Well, until now. There are retailers in New Zealand and Australia already listing RTX 3080 Ti cards from MSI and Gigabyte. Various SKUs can be found such as MSI Ventus, Gigabyte Gaming, Vision, or Eagle series. Of course, the most interesting part of this leak is the price and estimated launch date. According to some of the listings that we found or were given a link to, custom GeForce RTX 3080 Ti cards shall cost from 1338 USD to 2257 USD. Those are of course, preliminary and probably placeholding prices, which were provided by distributors (or their online systems to be more precise). It is nowhere near the final price or official MSRP of those cards.
 
The MSI RTX 3080 Ti Ventus has been listed for 2543 NZD which is around 1820 USD. A Gaming OC model from Gigabyte has a price of 3153 NZD which is 2257 USD. Interestingly, this retailer estimated the first shipment of the RTX 3080 Ti models on May 13th, just 10 days from now.
 
Another retailer now lists two cards Gigabyte cards (Eagle and Vision) with the same price of 1733 AUD (1338 USD). Both cards are listed on the website despite being labeled as embarged until ‘late May’. As we know RT X3080 Ti is now scheduled to launch on May 26th, but we are not yet sure if preorders will begin sooner.
 
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is based on GA102-225 GPU with 10240 CUDA cores. This model will feature half of the capacity offered by RTX 3090, which is 12GB GDDR6X. NVIDIA is to announce this SKU on May 18th, which should be a week prior to the official launch and (hopefully) global availability. After all, this model has been in development for many months now.
 
Well, I think the RTX 3080ti is one of the worse leaked products. The price in Australian dollars below converts to 1337 dollars but that price includes Australian VAT

i payed 800euros for my 1080 Ti >> 2 years ago! 
 
if that's the price tag of future Ti's then i'm out!
 
there is no AAA game in the market that deserves 2 salaries of mine for a gpu chip!!

I feel like scalpers are only selling to miners though.  I don't think gamers pay scalper prices.  Unless they are uber rich and have no patience.  In which case, oh well? 
 
I would flip a 3080 or a 3090 for an instant $1000 profit too.  There is a ton of miners willing to pay for them.  And miners are essentially raping the earth with their energy consumption.  I think of it as taxing their pollution.
