Gigabyte GC‑WB867D‑I Wifi Card Not recognized in any PCI-E Slot (X99 Micro 2)

Hey folks,
 
I just finished my first big-boy build, and after having some issues with my LAN connection (I'm currently using a powerline adapter), I decided to pick up a wifi card.
I ended up going with the Gigabyte GC‑WB867D‑I (It's an intel wi-fi/bluetooth combo card seated on a PCI-E X1 adapter). 
 
I was able to fit the card in my X16 slot (I've got a 750 TI in my x-8 right now), but the card hasn't been recognized. I thought that I might just have a bad card, but I've been able to get the bluetooth working (the bluetooth runs via a usb header connection). The driver cd doesn't recognize the card (though, it also doesn't recognize the bluetooth is working), and the BIOS hasn't picked up the card either. I've already installed the drivers off the gigabyte website to no success. I also tried swapping slots with the GPU, and even though the GPU was recognized in the other slot, the Wifi card still isn't showing up. I haven't fiddled around too much with my BIOS settings, but I figured I'd see if anyone had any suggestions before I try replacing the card.

Intel Core i7-5820K (3.3 ghz)
2x Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4-2666 RAM
Samsung 850 Pro Series 512 GB 22.5" SSD
NVIDIA GeForce 750 TI
Cooler Master 1200W 80+ Platinum PSU
Using Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Wifi card is a Gigabyte GC‑WB867D‑I

    I just got my replacement card, and I'm having the same problem... does anyone have any suggestions?

    You should put your GPU in the X16 Slot, the one next to the CPU!
    Have you downloaded the Drivers http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4739#dl
     
     Your Slots (PCI-E Lane Distribution (28 Lane Processor))
    PE1 – x16  Your GPU Card
    PE2 – x8
    PE3 – x4  Your New Wi-Fi/BT Card.

    You should update your motherboard Bios to the latest version (1.02) as it improves PCI-e device compability.

    Also, you might have to change the PCI-e Generation of the slot you installed the Wi-Fi card to Gen1 or Gen2 in your Bios,
    in order for the card to be detected properly.

    Hey guys, just wanted to follow up.
     
    I believe I have the most recent MOBO bios. I updated everything when I finished my build.
    I tried what bcavanaugh said, and that seemed to do the trick! I also tried putting the old card in the same slot to make sure I wasn't just being silly, and it still wasn't working, so it looks like it was a combination of a bad WIFI card and the PCI-e slot placement.
     
    2 months later and it's working great!
