Specs with nothing Overclocks: EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC Gaming 08G-P4-2182-KR Intel i7-8700k with Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler Gigabyte Z370 Auros Gaming 7-OP G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2666 F4-2666C15D-32GVR Corsair HX750 80 Gold Plus 1 m.2 SSD 2x SSD 2x 7200 HDD Ever since I got this card back in January, games such as PUBG, Overwatch, or any games similar that require a lot of resources crash. My PC freezes, then after about 10 seconds or so the screen turns black and then the game shuts down. Finally the system returns to normal. These symptoms do not occur when playing games like Rocket League, League of Legends, NBA 2k19 and Risk of Rain 2 for example. Temperatures for the GPU operate over 80 C+. I'm running with one idea of the GPU getting too hot and maybe I should downvolt it. The temperature also has me thinking about getting a WaterCool Heatkiller IV and finally starting a liquid cooling loop on my GPU. I was also considering maybe the PSU is no longer doing its job. The PSU was purchased back in 2013 and I was maybe thinking about upgrading to a Seasonic Ultra Titanium from 750W-1000W. Anyone have any suggestions? I never had these problems with my 970 GTX and everything worked fine.

PSU is prob aged? How old? More then 3-4 years?
Yeah temps too high as well. Double whammy better cooling and more power. Grab atleast a good 80+ gold 1000watt or more (for future) PSU.

I may be exaggerating on the Temp. Let me actually load up a game and see. The PSU is actually over 6 years old now.

Do you think the system is overloading and the PSU is causing the game to crash?

*update* so it is at about 66 degrees Celsius when playing PUBG in a training mode with 16 people. Game crashed, per usual and now has been stuck frozen. I had to hard restart from the tower.

Your running "negative pressure" - (more fans out than in) - Test with side panel off the Case Positive pressure usually cools better Are Case fan RPM tied to the CPU temp ? if so set them to a static speed like 80% - 100% as a test Cougar Evolution Black SECC

A Seasonic Prime 850 Titanium would be more than enough if you needed a PSU upgrade but atm, I would see if it's temps. Sometimes it might not be the GPU temps but VRAM temps that might make things crash. Some people that have ICX2 sensors have noticed high temps. Try creating more positive pressure in the rig and see if that improves anything as stated by Cool.
