Sleinous I just wanted to say you are awesome for taking the time to help everyone!

Just wanted to add this in here also if it might help. The guide I did earlier for GPU2 and Fermi. It should work fine for Kepler and GPU2 also.

http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1794797

Also put one of my 480s in with my 680 today for temp till I finished everything I was doing for the GPU2 and Fermi write up and realized that the Kepler core is located in the Fermi folder which means you can't replace the core with those 2 mixed in the same system since Kepler GPUs won't fold on core 2.22 and Fermi lose a lot using 2.25. Just something for everyone to keep in mind.

Also my 480 hated the 310 Nvidia driver (since it's normally my 680 only in that system).

Will add this useful info in to the OP in a sec :) Thanks krillind8z!

Also could someone provide an official Stanford link to the 2.22 core so I can also post that in here? I can't seem to find it.

There was a official link left for 2.22 in one of the threads, I've looked for over a hour now & still haven't been able to find it.
Forum search didn't seem to help with the wording I used. If I get lucky and locate it I'll post back, bu its my bed time now so it will have to wait until I get up. Actually way past it. lol

This is as close as I can come , but looks like it will need a special extractor to extract .

Ok, I may be a bit early on this question, but a question on the PPD.  I followed all of the instructions and have gone through two beta units (now on a third).  The first two finished up about 30 min before the EOC/Stanford stats update.  I should have had around 40,000 points, yes?  My stats only show 6300.  I have my passkey - is there anything I am missing?  I'm not going to wait around (up) for the next 2 1/2 hours to see if it's just timing - I'll check in the morning to make sure.  But, if there is anything else other than the passkey needed, I'm interested to know.

If you don't get the bonus points on the next update, are you qualified for the bonus at this point? I only ask because I don't know when you started folding with the passkey..

Bonus point formula
Briefly summarizing our bonus formula, the bonus is applied for users who have a passkey, have successfully returned at least 10 bonus-eligible WU's, successfully return >=80% of assigned WU's, and return the WU before the Timeout (formerly Preferred Deadline). Bonus points do not apply to partial returns.

Thanks.  I've had the passkey since I started folding (July).  Don't quite remember who, but someone here on the forums said it was a very important piece to have.  But, regardless, I was just getting a bit nervous last night.  The credit showed up during the next cycle.

Question - how does one know whether or not they have the v2.22 or v2.25?  I grabbed the file from Jimmy last night and followed the instructions in this thread (and HFM shows the WU's going against the 2.22 version), but so I can help out in searching for the direct link to Stanford - what am I looking for?

I did find a page to download older clients, but couldn't see anything about v.2.22.

File-size is the quickest way
2.22 is about 1/2 the size

Re:Helping Getting You QRB-Ready - This Weekend Only! 2012/11/20 12:50:01 (permalink)
I noticed last night when I picked up a project 8054 that it updated my core15 to 2.25 so you
should look at the log or TPF if you get a 8054 TPF will be off as a clue to roll back to 2.22.

I found pausing the client then completely quitting v7 before replacing the core I had no eel
effects like I was seeing when only pausing & replacing.
So this may help if the client is getting hung in a loop of core download or just setting not doing any work.

overclock net has a direct download link to the FahCore_15 file, without doing all that extracting and hex editing, if you want to add a direct download that to the guide.

Unfortunately linking to non Stanford hosted cores seems not to be allowed, is that link straight from Stanford?

BWG has the file hosted on his own website.

As for it be "allowed" now that I'm not sure on.   Maybe just have a "PM me for the file to be emailed to you" can work also.

I sent a PM

Hi OSG
I seen a jump in your ppd for 2 Dec.  Does that mean you have it
installed and working?  Hope so!

I musta missed some sort of an update somewhere but I haven't seen the QRB's in a long time now, just 807* 3.8kers. Saw a few posts saying to remove the beta flags now?

8057 went internal - to finish it off

QRB  is coming - there are issues to be resolved at Stanford before implementation
