Just picked up my Titan X SC. I would supply a picture but the mobile version of EVGA's website does not work properly when trying to upload images. I will provide a picture from my laptop shortly

It's not cheap @ ~$250 a pop, but it's all made from 1 block of 7075 aluminum, 5mm thick, standoffs presized for .5mm thermal pads on the memory chips, and depending on the final cost it will be finned for more surface area (as pictured below).  (And oh yes, that Titan X text is milled straight into the aluminum...no stickering here).
 
I still need to double check that 5mm will clear the RAM slots.
 
I contemplated making it into a waterblock, but there's clearance issues all over the place doing that.  Plus copper is expensive as hell to have prototyped.

I'm hoping it'll be available for step up, as that means more money from me (and no limit with the VRAM for my 4k screen) Still, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a no, ah well, at least I get to save some money :)

At this time, Titan X is not available for Step-Up.

I don't have any information on if this will be available for Step-Up in the future, however it appears to be a limited quantity type of card and those generally aren't available for Step-Up.

For the heck of it I check this by running WEI assessment and yes I can hear very faint whine (I'm very sensitive to noise), but otherwise in gaming/general apps. not a peep as far as this is concerned.  

Got mine yesterday, non-SC. 79.8% ASIC. no noticeable coil whine, just the usual hiss every card has depending on load. Can't wait to see what this will do.

Seems like it mostly happens when the system has idled and I'm firing up a game or something and components heat up. I believe it's one, if not both of the GPUs, but I can't be certain. Doesn't seem to have any adverse affect, and it's not loud, but I can hear it in a quiet setting.

 
Are you able to tell if this click is coming from the fan or the card itself? I've heard clicking coming from the fan but after using an air can on it it hasn't come back (although I think I did hear it again for a few seconds one time after this). Never since owning blower style coolers have I heard clicks coming from them, and so now I'm always listening for it lol. At $1K a pop, if the noise comes back it goes back. 

Unlikely to be the fan because I haven't messed with it at all, and it happens before the card even gets hot or ramps up the fan, but I'll try to listen with the side panel off sometime soon.

I have also noticed this click you are talking about since installing my 2 titans. Almost sounds like a platter HDD click, but not nearly as loud and not as often. I can only hear it with the case side off and in my face, so it is a non issue with me. I know its not a HDD since i have a SSD.

Bought 2 from NVidia Friday, they arrived yesterday. Installed them and played some hardline, no problems. Started to play some evolve, within 10mins screens went black. Couldn't do anything so I went to turn the computer off. Right before I go to turn it off I see a spark/pop come from my computer. Looked like it came from one of the titans. Computer would not turn back on. Tested the power supply, it works. Tested both cards, only one works. The bad one has a burning smell coming from the 8/6pin connectors. I saw someone else in this thread having similar problems with their card. Well for now one card works great, started a rma with NVidia last night. Hopefully they send a replacement soon.

:-( not good. Hopefully they get it replaced quick.

One of my original Titans popped when I turned it on :( Worst feeling ever.

Any info on card availability?

I've been watching the stock on this for the hydrocopper versions but after seeing at least two people pop their cards I don't think I want to trade my pair of 980s with a pair of these now.  I think I'll wait for the 980 ti instead!
