Still waiting on help with the LN2 bios, card is a 3988, drivers crash every time I load it. I know the classxx.rom is for 2988 can we get one for the 3988 card. Or just some help. Also I backed up my OC bios now it will not let me flash it back, said flash was not new enough. I got the new flash and it would not see the video card. Is there a hack version of flash that might help out?.

Are there any other custom BIOS available for the 980 Classi?  The Kingpin BIOS are no good for me as they disable refresh rates above 60 hz.  All I really want is a custom BIOS that will allow me to surpass the power target, everything else can remain the same.

What that mean disable refresh rates above 60Hz? Why?
Is it possible to change that somehow with Precision X... 
Did you check on overclock.net, there are lot of people who overclock Classified cards there and they know what BIOS is best for some purpose and newest unofficial BIOS you can find there... Maybe even someone to change for you something specific.

ASUS fans constants talk EVGA have plastic shroud, EVGA had plastic shroud...
and now they are silent because Matrix have plastic and K|NGP|N have metal.
I would now constantly repeat them same only because some people are not aware how plexiglas or quality plastic could be good for that purpose...
GTX980 Classified is good card too, it's same size I think.
Only looks like customers really love metal shroud and EVGA maybe should produce Classified from aluminum in future,
but good quality plastic is very good for vibration and noise.

GIGABYTE increase power for their 980 to 340W, manufacturers should explain us for their models how much is power limit. 
People talk that's reason because they OC well, I doubt, it's only question of binning chips but that could prevent throttling on best chips.

I don't know exactly if it was disabled on purpose.  But for me, 110 Hz is an option, but whenever I try to enable it, the screen flashes like it's changing the res or refresh rate as it normally would but when it finishes, the refresh rate is still 60 Hz.
As far as the Classified card is concerned.  I normally put a hell of a beating on my cards, and I've killed a couple in the past.  So no more reference cards for me.  Although, I really don't believe that the cards died because of anything I did.  I had to RMA two of my 3 GTX 280s, cooking them in 3 way SLI probably is what caused that.  And the other one I had trouble with I think was a factory defect, crappy soldering job.  When visually compared to an identical card, it was clearly an inferior soldering job.

You need to use older drivers with it or you will never get it to work properly.

Also you need k boost enabled in precision so the driver won't crash at start-up.

Do you have one of the earlier versions of this card, the 2988 I think?  I have the 3988, I think those are the numbers...off the top of my head.  As soon as I boot into windows the voltage is stuck at 1.0v and I can't adjust it unless I use overboost. I verified the voltage using a multimeter.  I've had trouble over volting since day one.

hello guys, can someone help me to find the gtx 980 classified bios that kingpin released? The link to kingpincooling doesnt work anymore. I tried to create my own bios per Bios Tweaker, but i just cant achieve higher clocks than on the standard bios with its 1,21 volts. Also the card doesnt want to run on 1,287 Volts, thats the value i put in the new bios. Bios is readed out right, but Afterburner or GPU-Z never show more than 1,21 volts. And the card crashes at 1530-1540mhz boost, same clock i reached with the original bios.
 
So anyone can give me a tip for a good 980 classified Bios that really works?
