Hallo!  I also fold for the [H], but I just recently bought a pair of EVGA 780 SC ACX.  Thought I'd add my observations to this thread considering they're EVGA products and I want to spread the good news about these cards.

Out of the box (no additional overclocking by me) they are getting about 162K each on 8900's.  I could most likely go higher on the overclock, but I'm not even sure I want to.  I'm totally content with 162K each straight out of the box and the temps are rather appealing as well.

Interesting that I don't see that SMP option. I added the advanced to both my cards I don't know if that was proper but it's done. Do I have to wait until this current job completes to reap the benefits?

you need a passkey first.  then you need to complete 10 WUs:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/getpasskey.py
What are the qualifications for the QRB?
The bonus is applied for users who use a passkey, have successfully returned at least 10 bonus-eligible WUs, successfully return 80% or more of assigned WUs, and return the unit before its Timeout (formerly Preferred Deadline). Bonus points do not apply to partial returns.

I've never not used a passkey and I still don't have that SNP option.

Re:GTX 780 Folding Thread 2013/07/04 21:45:47 (permalink)
evilrising - you need to type in the 'advanced' option as Jini showed in her post.
also, right click on your current workunit and select 'Finish'.
That will pause the slot when the current unit has finished.
Once it has stopped, change your client type to 'advanced' You should only do this for Kepler cards, Fermi does not get any benefit from core17 projects.

save changes, then exit Folding@home.  restart your computer, restart folding and if any advanced project units are available, you should get some!

So now that I've tagged the advanced on both the 650 and the 780, F@H reports the 780 at 33,500 ppd on 8900 and the 650 at 152,158 ppd on 8900.. I guess its confused? Haha whatever though its working now thanks for all the help guys and gals.

SMP is the CPU core, you want it on the GPU,  its why i underlined the GPU  when i posted it rather then make another pic.

Yea v7 seems to get the slots confused or reversed most of the times.
Its more of a pain to try and fix than its worth, but can be done so I'm told.

i swapped my 560 sc and 660ti ftw to try to manage the heat in my case better.  and the reporting flip-flopped.  i swapped the gpus back into their original pci-e slots and the reporting was fine again.  if you want to rectify your situation, you might try swapping your gpus into each other's pci-e slots to see if it remedies the erroneous reporting.  it's a pretty easy fix if it works.  just a recommendation.  good folding.

Oh snap:

http://forums.evga.com...px?&m=1937399&mpage=12

Well looks like the 780 classified as been push to its limits on air by kingpin. He was able to reach 1410 MHz on air. He also states that evga added a standalone voltage tuner allowing it to reach 1.35 volts (looks to me that he did it software based without evbot).

Here is the link

P.S. My 780 classified can not get here soon enough please evga release the classified already.

OK... In just 10 hours of folding the new Classy did 100k in points. These will do 180k ppd easy...

In a 800d with the case being all closed up, fans @ 97%... Temp on the GPU was 69c.

Sorry afterburner ;p

I also bought a 780 with the advanced cooler, used my evga bucks, spent 100 in customs fees >_> lol, took some while to get all my slots working properly (580 mixed with the 780 and at one point i was rocking 300k ppd with roughly 220k from the 780.

Has anyone else noticed that the new nvidia driver keeps crashing? its not my OC, it just has a tendency to crash when launching games lol... As far as overclocking goes, i am able to fold 24/7 with +120 on core clock, or 1215mhz. Trying to push it higher but not sure how much more i can get out of it.

I recently tried to go higher than 1215 core and it wasn't stable.

There are apparently many complaints about the current drivers being wonky with 780s.  For me, it results in MSI Afterburner crashing every day and a half or so and the clocks dropping to stock levels, though it does not appear that that causes problems in the folding process, as I've never seen an EUE after it happens.  I'm working around that problem by rebooting every 24 hours or so.  I don't actually game much on my desktop so I can't speak to gaming issues.

be really mindful the core 17 work units are very susceptible to overclocks and can fail. If you are not monitoring it closly, you could end up folding failed work units to the point of loosing your QRB if not careful.

there was some GTX780 hydocoppers up on the weekend   ...they didn't last 24hrs
I know I was trying to get one (and failed due to a Postal code issue with card - not on my end either)

burns my tush that EVGA still can't fix the payment system for Canadians nor can have stock last long enough to make it more than 1 day let alone a week

I have $370 EVGA bucks to burn- will have $380 as of Aug 1
just can't use them if they can't fix my issue

yeah, the latest drivers are awful.
nVidia needs to get their act together on this.
What is the point of an amazing card if the drivers cannot allow them to perform?
Very annoying.
