Considering getting some 780 classifieds as well for folding
I chose Classy specifically because of the larger cooling footprint. LOVE this GPU.

yeah, the latest drivers are awful. nVidia needs to get their act together on this. What is the point of an amazing card if the drivers cannot allow them to perform? Very annoying.
Even the new beta 326.41 drivers indicated by Jacob?

Xavier Zepherious sticks435 God, evga needs to get off their ass and release more Classifies :(. I have $320 Evga bucks sitting here just waiting for a Hydro version, plus whatever I can get from selling a couple of cases and my 570 with Heatkiller block. there was some GTX780 hydocoppers up on the weekend ...they didn't last 24hrs I know I was trying to get one (and failed due to a Postal code issue with card - not on my end either) burns my tush that EVGA still can't fix the payment system for Canadians nor can have stock last long enough to make it more than 1 day let alone a week I have $370 EVGA bucks to burn- will have $380 as of Aug 1 just can't use them if they can't fix my issue Yea, I wanted the Classy Hydro, but caved in and settled for the ACX one today lol. Will probably pick up a waterblock in Aug or Sept when they become available along with a backplate. Like everyone else, I can't wait to get this thing and see what it can do!! Finally replacing my 570 that takes 2 weeks to get to 500K points. Will be able to get that in about 4 days and can then game and fold the rest of the time. Hopefully my Seasonic X650W PSU is enough for the OC'ed Classy, OC'ed 2500K, D5 pump, 10 fans, 2 LED's, 2 SSD's and 2 WD blacks lol.

I have no idea why but lately one of my 780's keeps on getting a bad 8900 WU. Before per day for 5 hours, from both cards i would get around 63k in points but now its half that. I know that the beta WU can be unstable but its weird since the cards have done many of them before without problems. Can the GPU drivers have an effect on them?

Can a SC card be underclocked? May also try older driver and see if that works

Yep, people on the official forums have had to underclock factory overclocked cards to reference speeds to get them stable on core 17 WU's. Just use Precision.

Just done a 7810 and 7811 WU on factory SC . Checked the folding log and saw no errors so maybe i just got a looong strings of unstable WU's

It´s not very likely that you got more than 1 unstable WU. If you´re not sure ask in the official forum, the admins can check whether your WUs were unstable. If someone else completed your faulty WUs sucessfully you´ve an OC problem. Try to lower the MEM CLOCK before you lower the GPU CLOCK speed. Heiko

Ok fellow folders, I just bit the bullet and invested in a 780 SC!! Pretty excited. Was thinking about another 4p, but this is cheaper and easier, as I can just swap out my hot running 470 for it. I can barely keep in the top 20 these days!! This will help. Should be getting it mid next week..

Enjoy the bump in points. My whole rig averages 125k ppd. Just your new baby will put me to shame. Lol. A sincere thx for your contribution to the search for the cure. You and the other top 20, on our great team, are true heroes.

I only see AB crash, but not the drivers; others see the drivers crash every 36 hours or so. Supposedly there will be a fix in the next WHQL drivers, which I believe are due for release sometime in the next week or two. My solution is to just reboot the computer every evening. With Windows on an SSD this takes under a minute, and it's better than having the GPU fold at slower speeds for several hours when I'm not home to catch it and then having to reboot anyway so AB will work again.

Purchased two 780 super clocks, I should have done this a long time ago. There just for folding in an X58 board I have for spacing them apart for cooling. Just the two cards running alone it produces 300K PPD. I have the CPU not folding because that was giving me errors when the temps got too high. Fried my H100i cooler because the office was getting too warm and over worked it I think.

Yes, I use a similar configuration (GTX 680 instead of GTX 570). About every 2 days Precision X crashes. Without a reboot in the next hours there´s a 100% chance that the [link=mailto:F@H]F@H[/link] core of the GTX 780 get´s an error. Another Problem with the GTX 780 is that every 1-2 days it forgets about the OC setting. Heiko

Just got my two 780 classys late last night. Thx, evga, you're the best. The classy has killer looks to me.
Jacob says, 326.41 is the recommended driver for the 780 classy. So that's what I'm running. #1 card is at 1,306mhz and #2 at 1,293 mhz. Temps are 52C as of 8am. cooL. This is with stock voltage. I had #1 as high as 1,345mhz w./ 1200mv. When things are ironed-out, life should be grand.

sticks, I wouldn't say that quite now yet. there seems to be a lot going on right now. I know you don't have a classy like I do, but see if you can use this setting. it's the MHz I folded 24/7, for months on my 660 ti ftw, stably. I figured my classy should handle it, right? higher clocks for me w/ my two 780 classys have resulted in severe throttling on both cards as well as "all" WUs failing on card 2. no WUs failed on card 1, but severe throttling in time to as low as 324mhz and can't get it back to even default speeds w/o a lot of trouble. for me, it's a matter of sustaining my speeds, i.e. not throttling, and then completing WUs w/o failing. def. a work in progress. mem. speeds do not affect fah performance at all, hence my 0 offset on it. good luck.

this is what i'm seeing w/ my above post at 1,267mhz. I've seen it peak at 495k ppd. I noticed if I just touch my mouse and do anything with my computer, the points can drop 200K pts. easily, more or less. Jini posted this earlier and i'm finding it to be the case big-time.

I must have just gotten a bad card then or something. I'm at 1176 with no offset and I think my temps are like 52 at 100% fan speed and I think 74 using auto speed. (Need to verify that, I'm not at my computer atm).
