Hi I'm having a few problems with my GTX690 was working fine until today when I booted up it was in low resolution I reinstalled the drivers but it made no difference I can manually set the resolution to 1080P and it works fine for desktop use or web browsing but it takes ages to load a game and then barely moves a frame per second I took a picture of settings in GPU-Z these are attached one GPU is listed as EVGA the other as Nvidia but the settings are blank

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers after cleaning out the drivers with DDU? If not, give it a shot.

    Hi,

Check device manager and see if it's giving you an error code. I would also try DDU like Sajin suggested.

    Hi,

If you have Windows 10, launch add/remove programs look for VIRTU MVP and uninstall it. If you don't have that program installed, I would recommend testing your video cards in another system to verify the issue. Otherwise, you might need to start an RMA.

Try this to see if it helps get rid of the code 43 error...

#1 Download driver 358.59 to your desktop & download the latest version of DDU to your desktop.

#2 Unplug ethernet cable from motherboard to disconnect the internet.

#3 Uninstall the nvidia drivers normally.

#4 Use DDU (Display driver uninstaller) in safe mode to clean out all gpu driver leftovers. Use the clean and restart (highly recommended) option.

#5 Delete video GUID's using regedit. Click the start button and type regedit and hit enter. For windows 8/10 hit the windows key + r and type in regedit and hit enter. Navigate to...
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Video (highlight the Video key and press the delete key.)
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Video (highlight the Video key and press the delete key.)
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video (highlight the Video key and press the delete key.)
NOTE: When deleting the video key you will be prompted with an error saying "Error deleting key, Cannot delete Video: Error while deleting key." Just ignore the error and select OK, all keys within the Video key will be deleted except for ones that cannot be deleted.

    #6 Reboot PC.

    #7 Do step #5 again.

    #8 Reboot PC.

#9 Perform a clean installation of video drivers.
    1. Uninstall Precision X/Afterburner if installed, make sure to select "no" to saving profiles if asked.  Reboot the PC now if you had to uninstall PX or Afterburner.
    2. Run the graphics installer located on your desktop.
    3. Select custom advanced install, under custom installation options uncheck all options except the physx system software, if you have a 3D capable monitor and would like to use 3D at some point please select both 3D options, check mark perform clean install, then click next to install the driver, reboot when asked.
    #10 Connect ethernet cable.

Should be good to go now if your problem was caused by registry corruption.

Hi thanks for the advice couldn't find driver 358.59 so had to use 358.50 tried what you suggested Sajin still have the same problem so looks like its RMA time, taken card out and noticed serial No has come off why does EVGA insist on sticking it over components instead of flat on the pcb like MSI and Gigabyte this is the second time one has come off can't find it in the case this time either but still have the box with serial No i'm sure I've read somewhere that this is acceptable could anyone confirm this
