Man, I'm just starting to get all confused on some of these. I'm so close to smackin the buy button on one of the SC Signature 680's I literally had to shut all the pc's down last night and walk away for a little while. I hear people saying to hold off for the 4 gig model, and hear other people saying the 680 runs triples just fine, but gets close to vram max in the larger triple resolution (i.e. 6000 and up range). I run 5040-1050 and am just curious if a 680 will run it more than ok. All I do is race in either iRacing, or PCARS. Not surprisingly my little "295 that could", does very well in them. I am planning on getting rid of the DTH2go soon, I've ordered 3 new cables from monoprice to try the nsurround stuff. I know, I know, I get something that works and I leave it alone. Hell, I just upgraded from the 195.62 to the 296.10 drivers last week hehehehe. Dont really think I'll be able to spend 700+ on a 4gig if thats going to be the price range. I realize I could buy another 680 in SLI later. I've never had one issue running this dual-gpu 295 the whole time. It would be so nice if they had a loaner program to test one out before buying hahahahaha. Hep me, Hep me

Your definitely all over the place, my advise, just wait and sit it out, let everything hit the shelves first, look at reviews, then pull the trigger.

I think unless the 690s have 2 fans for heat and are of course 4gigs, which they're supposed to be 4gigs then i'd say the 680s would still be in high demand, and probably as much as it is now. A 690 would be............. what $799.00.
I've never had an issue of heat with my 590. Idles at 40 Celsius and max temps of 55-60 Celsius under stress tests.

Yeah, I never had heat issues with my 590s stock, that said, I don't think I ever saw they hit above 34 under water lol. In addition, Nvidia ought to be putting 8gigs on these cards, 4gb per core. I am afraid they are still going to hit a vram issue with just 2 per core.
