Title says it all. Good day all, I recently purchased a GTX 1660 the day it released because it sounded like the best budget card available for my situation. I am running Windows Server 2016 Build 14393.2791 and tried downloading/installing the newest windows 10 drivers only to find that "This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows." I recently upgraded from a 750TI using the most up to date drivers for it without issue. I was hoping someone could help me find a workaround to get this resolves asap. TIA, -Murfitz

You need to update to a newer version to use newer drivers. At least Windows Server build 14939.

Hello Murfitz, I have just got registered to answer on this post. I am having the same problem, Windows Server 2016, new 1660 Ti, but I cannot install any driver whatsoever, neither manually (via .inf) nor automatically using the setup installer. What was your solution? I find a little strange the build versions you guys posted, because mine is: Windows Server 2016 14393 (not 14939) I cannot even find any Windows Server 2016 with that build, so I am completely stuck on this problem. What drivers did you install? How did you do it? Thanks in advance!!! Your are my last hope before I return the card !! Thanks !

I too was running server 2016 14393. unfortunately it no longer supports newer nvidia drivers. I "upgraded" to windows server 2019 and was able install my backed up sofwares and vms AND the drivers for the 1660. The downside to this is that because the development path for the 2019 version is different from 2016 14393, you wont be able to complete an "upgrade" but instead you will need to do a clean install. This resolved my issue and should do the same for you. if a clean install is out of the question for you, you may want to return the 1660 TI and instead get a 9xx or 10xx series card. -Murfitz

Thanks for the info, Murfitz. I upgraded to Windows 2019 and now the installation goes smooth. I actually gave a try to the in-place upgrade and, luckily enough, it went through without issues. Thanks again for the suggestions!
