Dear fellow gamers and office workers,
My GTX1080TI just died after 3 years and a half of use and light gaming. This is concerning to me. I and my mentor have been using EVGA cards since day one when we first know about computers. I have the gtx680, 770, 960, and now is 1080ti with the EVGA. My mentor has 2 gtx980 with EVGA and just bought a 3090 with EVGA. However, the GTX1080TI doesn't perform as I expected. My other EVGA card still holding up until now. The GTX1080Ti is almost there-artifact everywhere, FPS dropping in games, and I cannot even render a video. Unfortunately for me, my warranty is expired and now I have to throw my graphic card into the trashcan because that is what customer support kinda tells me. Thank you EVGA for your "perfection" customer service. Ps: you guys have gone downhill since 2017. Here is some of the funny picture I would love to post. If you can read this message, EVGA customer service, you guys know you can do better.
Sincerely,

Quan.

Dang not good ...  too many variables ... cards can fail .... it happens

Your GPU ... temps, MB & CPU set for No OC ?

    Your PSU

If your running at stock clocks & MB & CPU are Not OC ...... maybe reapply TIM & thermal pads .. if temps are high

Failure @ cold start or low temps ..... could be the card .... if your PC is at stock settings

I've got 2 - EVGA 1080Ti - they usually run 24/7 for the last 4 years ... so far so good

Your example - if it is the cards failing - is an example of why people should consider the Optional extended warranty in the first 90 days after purchase

    EVGA Extended Warranty

It could be a bad solder joint or a failing piece of hardware .... if your running stock settings ... go Max -xxx number on RAM & GPU ... does it run with no error ?

GPU fans @ 100% ...case fans 100% .... what temps Room, on GPU & RAM ... use GPU-Z

Yeah Yeah!!! GPU was no OC. Clock stable at 139mhz. My last card still survives until now which is the GTX960. I did trust EVGA quality but next time I buy, I think I should consider the extended warranty cause the EVGA card was probably designed to last 3 years and a half. I am sorry that I am not tech-savvy like you, suppose to know what hardware is failing. All I know is this card is worse than my gtx960 which can last me more than 5 years now.
