hello! Received my first EVGA gpu from Amazon US today (shipped to Singapore) and found a dent/bend at the corner of the back plate beside the SLI port. So I want to check if this is normal? I had email the support but is weekend now so I might not get a reply form them soon. should i installed it to my PC to test if it is working normally or wait for their email reply?

Doesn't look normal. PCB isn't damaged so you should be ok.

Looks like it will be OK, try it and test it out just to see. I contacted support and tried to order another backplate for my 1070 FTW but they said they didn't have any available to sell and no telling how long it will be, so I went ahead and ordered a new backplate from EK. You can do that if you are bothered by the dent. EK makes backplates in black or nickle for the 1070/1080 FTW's.

I'm more bothered about how that dent appear, if they drop it during the manufacturing process. The backplate is metal and so hard to bend, so i suspect that dent at the corner is done by some hard impact even though the PCB is looking fine. I had installed the gpu and will do some gaming and testing these few days until the support contacted me.

Looks like it was indeed dropped.  Hopefully it was just the backplate that was dropped before it was installed.

Was the Retail box OK / no obvious damage ?

Was the box still factory sealed ?

The physical box looks fine to me, no damage. All stickers are intact and new.
