Hi @EVGA_JacobF and @EVGA_ChrisB. I've submitted my RMA request through EVGA Taiwan since I'm in Australia. Is it possible to get an ADVANCE RMA please? As the turnaround time to ship to Taiwan and then have it tested then returned is really going to hurt.

So since my card has started black screening with the fans going up to 100% I noticed that the max GPU temp has been slowly rising, note that the air temperature in the room is the same. It started at 49ºC now is maxes out at 56ºC. I have the FTW Hybrid. Has anyone else noticed this too?
Heatware: Trelor - I primarily use eBay which is attached to my heatware.

Well i just got off the phone with evga tech support and they told me because im not in their allocated region they might not be able to to a cross shipment or pay for shipping even though i purchased it from amazon and they shipped it to me. I understand im not in the continental US but if amazon can ship it here i dont see how that should be an issue. I can see trying to rma this is gonna be a nightmare for me aand after paying 1000 dollars for this card its a very frustrating feeling.

Didn't they ask you to ship to another EVGA branch such as TW or Europe? I understood the frustration of having no replacement card on hand, but had also been charged USD700+.

No they didnt and thats because im 700 miles off the east coast US so US is the closest region just makes no dam sense why they told me they probably can do anything and amazon isnt much help either. Told me because im international best they can do is a refund when they get the card back and i have to pay for shipping to them and they reimburse me after wards. Maybe im being picky but would off been nice to just get a replacement and have them hold the money on my card until the got the old card back. Dont think im asking for much. Sorry rant over.

Good luck with that. I requested the same and they don't have the setup to advance RMA (they don't even have a way to hold your collateral, not even through paypal as others have suggested here for Asia region) in EVGA Taiwan because they have too many jurisdictions to cover in Asia. Advance RMA is a US privilege. Email for RMA request and demand that they pay for postage and import duty (import duty is payable in TW).\ If not for the service EVGA is just waiting for a class action lawsuit. Seriously, 25,000+ views and 516 replies compared to average of around 30 views per post, I do not believe for a second the EVGA narrative that this happens on a "small" number of cards. A class action lawsuit would reveal on discovery that this probably happens to every other card (or at least, only every other user bothers to RMA). Enough said....

You might want to be careful about saying stuff like this in a public setting...without any data to back it up...I believe this is called slander / libel. Defamation is an area of law that provides a civil remedy when someone's words end up causing harm to your reputation or your livelihood. Libel is a written or published defamatory statement, while slander is defamation that is spoken by the defendant.
You can, of course, do as you wish...not trying to be a jerk...just trying to give some advice...

Actually I'm a lawyer myself so I am well versed in what is and isn't libel, don't need you quoting whatever you found on Google. Now, I have 18 pages and 25,000 views and 2 cards so I can form an opinion of my own, thank you very much. And by the way, one has to prove harm to reputation and livelihood to be successful as you so aptly copy / pasted... now how is one going to prove that on balance of probabilities? Courts are also very reluctant to let cases like this to succeed. You may have heard of it. It's called freedom of speech. Not trying to be a jerk either, just giving you some advice before you pounce on others for giving their own views. You and others are welcome to disagree, but the posts on this thread speak for itself and others here are free to come to their own opinion as well, without being "advised" by the self-righteous.

Either way, this is the way the software and tech industry business model has shifted to in today's world. Unfortunately to be competitive in releases and pricing the end user is now the beta tester (even windows, Google the lay offs). I don't care what company it is, EVGA is making things right via rma for most people I have thumbed through. In the first year of production, there can be issues with many links in the chain; drivers, software, hardware, GPU, etc. They have to be really careful with things that are in discussion in their boardrooms until a course of action has been decided on. I feel for everyone having issues, I'm only having problems at 144hz (flickering) which started about a week ago with driver update or something.

Got this issue with my new 1080 FTW (ordered Sept 2 through Jet/OutletPC) yesterday while running Heaven with a bit of overclock, ~2025/5100 at 100% voltage boost (1081mV). Restarted and ran Heaven again, and it crashed within 15 minutes. EVGA support suggested I try it in another machine, and it worked fine under a heavier overclock, ~2075/5100, with no crashes in Heaven for about an hour. Put it back in the original machine, ran Heaven and Sky Diver for about 30 minutes each, along with 2 hours combined of GTA 5 and DX:MD, and no crashes yet. Overclock is still at 2075/5100 100%V, with temp around 75 C.

To any EVGA techs and anyone else reading this... for those having issues, what happens when you switch between the Master and Slave BIOS on the card? Could it have anything to do with the VBIOS shadowing/copying to the computer? (do computers still do that?) And that's why clearing CMOS or moving the card between systems helps some people or makes it work again?

Update: Just got my 2nd RMA card today and I got the black screen fan issue again after running Heaven for 15min. Weird because Evga got my card on the 2nd, which is after stating the prob had been fixed. So it seems they are still sending out cards that are broken. Going to get yet another RMA, I wont be paying for the sipping a 3rd time Evga.

Is debug mode the only Fix? I'm still getting black screen and fan usage at 100% Issue is getting worse. I do have an RMA but not being able to use my PC while this is fixed really isn't an option for me and honestly I'm starting to get irritated.

Wow! You're going for a third RMA!! unbelievable!! After my first card failed I decided not to take any chances and I'm glad I didn't otherwise I would have been in the same boat as you. I got an MSI card instead and it works amazingly well and much cooler.

nextgencfl Anyone know of a way to test this synthetically?
I'm looking for an answer to this, in WoW:Legion I had this issue 3 times in total. I can run Heaven at max settings for 8 hours with no problems whatsoever. I have no idea what triggers this.

I hear you man. Glad to hear that your MSI is working great...Depending on what Evga say with this RMA, I may email amazon and ask for a refund. Though I has passed my 30 days return because of having to send back the cards to Evga. Evither way Amazon should refund me regardless and the product is no fit for purpose. Then I'll get an MSI card.

Dear Rabb02, I can confirm that Debug mode will help to stop the crashes until we can have the card replaced. I am showing that you have a RMA processing for shipment and that the tracking information will be emailed to you later this evening. Rabb02 Is debug mode the only Fix? I'm still getting black screen and fan usage at 100% Issue is getting worse. I do have an RMA but not being able to use my PC while this is fixed really isn't an option for me and honestly I'm starting to get irritated.

tommyv2 To any EVGA techs and anyone else reading this... for those having issues, what happens when you switch between the Master and Slave BIOS on the card? Could it have anything to do with the VBIOS shadowing/copying to the computer? (do computers still do that?) And that's why clearing CMOS or moving the card between systems helps some people or makes it work again?
Nothing. Same thing happens. Tried for both my cards, sample size of two but that still says something for me.
