The more delays the more promising it will be that they will release a game that is not flawed and unoptimized.

New and improved Rockstar game development workflow. Step 1: Go to the zoo and hire the people who developed Watch Dogs. Step 2: Those monkeys throw fecal matter at computer screen. Step 3: Profit.

Original release date was close to Hardline's. Best option they had was to delay pending Hardline's obvious downfall. Instant profit for Rockstar.

I am looking forward to this one, but I expected this to happen. On a side note, I have lost confidence in the accuracy of official release dates by the company. They would have been better off with a larger gap for a delay. In stead of one month, they could do it in three month blocks which provide less publicity and more flexibility for the developers and the community. Regardless, thanks for sharing. This will give me more time to complete my rig before buying the games I really want this year :)

I am glad when companies decide to delay games to make them better. On the other hand, I do not like it when they put PC gamers on the back burner. I will not be buying this game.

I'm personally fine with a game getting delayed as long as it leads to a more polished product. What I'm not fine with, is a game being delayed and it still ends up being released as an unplayable product. I don't understand why people that preordered the game would be mad, because there's always a chance that a game may end up being delayed.

Responsible on their part? Sure I guess... doesn't change the fact that it has taken them A YEAR AND A HALF past initial release to get here. We were first at January, but now April? Jeez... it's not like they don't have the money to do it!

Tripe cash-in If someone really want to play it he can just pick it up on console. 1 month here or there won't make that big of a difference. I think it is always better to get a finisher product instead of half-ass baked game. Rockstar is not Ubisoft/Activision/EA

... a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC. ...
Delays are perfectly fine with me as long as it ensures that the game is released in good working condition. Rockstar has nothing to lose by delaying the release because they know that a lot of fans are anxiously waiting indefinitely. It is in Rockstar's best interest to release the game in the state of being a masterpiece instead of being buggy and broken. If Rockstar rushes the release, they will lose a lot of respect -- probably lose more respect for a buggy game than they would for a late game -- and lose some fans. Sure it might be aggravating because we have already waited so long -- and sure some fans may claim that they are so upset that they just won't buy the game -- but, honestly, if the game is a masterpiece, all those upset fans will buy it anyway and join in on the online sensation. On the other hand, I will be quite upset if after all this wait, the game is just as buggy and GTA IV (high load for not very good appearance [poor optimization], hardware detection bugs, many joystick/controller configuration support missing, and workarounds necessary [special commands/flags in execution shortcut] to make the game work on a modern PC).

For me it's the irritation of the frequency of delays. The extra publicity from each delay is becoming repetitive. If there was more time between each delay, I wouldn't think twice.

The only thing that I will enjoy about this game, is hearing all the complaints after it releases about how buggy it is.

Triple cash-in? Playstation 3 Playstation 4 X-box 360 X-box One PC I count more than 3 there. But, regardless, you act as if "triple cash-in" is bad. You act as if they are being greedy. My friend, each version requires modifications and adjustments to make it work properly. It's not like they are just slapping a new logo on it. Additionally, they wouldn't invest the time in creating and selling it to the various different machines if there wasn't a market loyal to each.

Yeah, they are all about the same really. I do get REALLY annoyed by Rockstar hanging on to 3rd party DRM while selling on Steam.
