But when i first run game starcraft 2 message me - "we can't set a automatic optimal settings " (or something) and all graphic settings set to - "medium". in the battle ,200 vs 200 units , fps down to 35 if i set graphic settings on ultra i have 25 fps in the battle. low settings for 415$...wow i reinstall win8.1 download drivers from EVGA site check 6 pin pci express power cable install sc2 on SSD I7 2600 8gb ram Gtx 970 maybe who can help me.

First off, welcome to the forums! You said, "check 6 pin pci express power cable". Do you only have one 6 pin power cable, or both 6 pin power cables plugged in? If you only have one, that'll be your problem. You need to have both connected.

If it is saying graphics card not connected, then you are probably running off of internal gpu.
Isn't starcraft cpu intensive?
What are your system specs, in detail? Cpu plus overclock, RAM amount and speed, bios revision number for motherboard.
What driver did you download for the video card. All of this is necessary to help you out, because it sounds like you missed a lot of steps along the way.
Make sure your cable, whether hdmi, dvi, display port, or whatever you use is properly connected to the video card, not to the motherboard output... Yes, I know it may sounds like a weird thing to say, but many people don't know that just because they have a dedicated gpu, that they actually have to use it.

i start Witcher 3 for a test. 45-60 fps. all ok, not ultra but "geforce experience" set settings on high\low. i can play with comfort. and i see a good graphic in a game for my system specs. maybe my CPU so old for sc2? System specs:cpu - i7 2600 (not overclocked.standart)DDR3 - 8 gm rammotherboard - z68a-d3h-b3 (rev.1.3). version bios - F10
power man ip-s600aq3-0 600w cable in the video card. i'm sure :)

Your cpu is fine for the gpu. I think that if you possibly max it the graphics on starcraft, it would use the gpu better. The lower the settings, the lower it taxes the gpu.
If it is bound to the cpu, the gpu is going to do very little for you. Just because you have a gpu, doesn't mean that something that uses the cpu is going to change to the gpu. The gpu is just for the display if something is cpu bound.
Please remove geforce experience. It saves files into the the system configuration for the games and that can cause issues. If you MUST use it, don't let it set anything for your game. It generalizes on base clocks only. Geforce experience isn't tuned to the hundreds of GPU's available, it is tuned specifically to one single base model card out of the lineup.
Also, if you aren't playing in 3D, remove all of the 3D drivers. They only put extra unneeded files in your system.
Everything can be removed from the control panel.

HI, im new to this forum, i cant post messages for some reason, so im trying here.. i recently bought a new EVGA GTX970 via amazon, i installed it on my pc but when video card is plugged, pc just wont work (like there is no power at all, i dont get any lights or any fan active...)
Switch back to my old EVGA GTX 460 and worked perfect!
Got a XFX 650W Semi Modular with bronce cert. Mobo Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 4 gb ram
anyone knows if this means that video card is failed or maybe there is a chance that my Mobo its to old?
Thanks in advance!

Update your BIOS on your motherboard. It is required to use Maxwell based cards.

BIOS is updated to latest version (quite old actually anyway because its from 2011). But i dont think motherboard is the problem here, i think i just got a bad graphic card, because i did some test last night and if i only plug the 6 pin and 6+2 pins conector to the graphic card, BUT i dont insert the card into the PCI express 2.0 slot (X16) i got the same issue, the mother board is not receive any type of power at all (no led lights or anything that indicates that motherboard has power)... unfortunately i dont have another GTX970 to test on my PC, and i cant test the GTX in other PC neither... Im starting thinking that i had bad luck on this one and maybe EVGA should replace my card (painfull process since im in argentina and customs are locking anything related to tech stuffs). anyone knows a way to test if card is faulty? thanks!

You need to post into the forum of the 'All Other EVGA Graphics cards' separately and not into this thread. You'll probably get more help that way.

I was lucky enough to grab a 970 FTW before graphics card prices went through the roof. Absolutely no regrets. As far as performance is concerned, most of the games I play are older, but even newer titles aren't an issue if I tone down the settings a bit.
