I will be switching to the Red Team, I don't want extra junk runnin or installed that I don't use. Not junk but if I don't use it, then its bloatware. A FuryX or the new upcoming duel FuryX card may be in my future.

This is what I see now on their site, also you may need to install Java as well? Search is not work at this time. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Nvidia wants each user to register an account is so they can use that to show advertisers a real person viewed the Ad on GeForce Experience.

I will definitely switch to AMD if this occurs. And I HATE AMD.
and if they force something that I don't know about already, I won't buy them. Guess I'm done with PC's?
It's MY hardware once I purchase it, I don't want your bloatware NVidia. GFE is absolute garbage.

I was already registered so no foul there. The password restrictions are a PITA. Now I have to change all of my passwords from 12345678 to One2345678.

I use a data connection cause im far out from the main road. So on the good days where I get good speeds and I decide to connect my pc to the internet having forced driver downloads every release is sucking away my data and who knows, they could have a release when I am strictly budgeting it causing me to receive charges to my account
They better add some data to my plan if they dont allow me to close out the prog or disable the download til I have a real need to update it.

Threatening to jump ship and go with Team Red is a little too melodramatic for me. Besides, I just invested over $1200 in a pair of GTX-980 video boards plus full cover EK waterblocks with backplates along with everything else that's involved in building a custom loop. They don't exactly have me at their mercy but I don't like the idea of them trying a stunt like this either.

I just sold my Titan X, and will be either getting a Fury X2 or GTX 990(when they're released).
However I'm using a R9 270 right now and I'm not liking the AMD drivers much. Not to mention no HDMI 2.0 on the Fury cards for my 4k display...
Hopefully nVidia changes this decision after hearing all of the complains. They have for mobile GPU overclocking so I don't see why they wouldn't for this if enough people complain.

Yeah, Ntune. Haven't thought about that software in many years. I did try it out many years ago...
I used nTune on my Q6600 and it got me from 2400 MHz to 2475 MHz before it crashed. I was too stupid to realize that you need to increase the vCore or I might have gotten a decent OC out of it. I didn't know I had to change the RAM ratio also or unlink it.

It's hard to say at this point. I could see OC.net or Guru3D, maybe even EVGA hosting just the drivers also. I have to believe there will be some alternatives to what Nvidia is planning.

That could work also I would think. Would be nice not to have to go through the extra effort though just to be able to use drivers as you wish.

Although I've never done it this way you could probably open the archive with 7-zip and copy the driver alone to your Desktop and install it using your Device Manager.

I do not understand the benefit of this move by team Green, I understand Microsoft forcing win10 upgrade even though I do not agree with it.
