In reference to my previous post, the problem seems to be that my tv doesn't like the HD/SD 1080p resolution, instead if use a a 1920x1080 @60hz resolution under PC in the nvidia control panel, everything looks fine. The problem is that whenever i reboot or run a game, it will default to 1080p. Any way to make nvidia control panel use 1920x1080 always?

There is nothing wrong with the Nvidia control panel

You bought a TV that contains a post processing unit.
    Read your manual http://westinghousedigita...2012/07/LD-4695_UM.pdf

HD/SD 1080p and 1920x1080 are the same thing
The problem is your not accounting for the TV settings and it appears that its auto detecting on signal change.

The manual will describe how to turn OFF the auto detect and settings adjustments.

Yes, it seems like the tv is scaling the image or over-sharpening it, but it's not. i have the aspect ratio set to standard (Standard Picture is displayed in its original size), instead of full or overscan. i just read the whole manual again. This TV is very barebones. I have even turned down the sharpness to almost nothing, and it still doesn't look as good as if i selected the 1920x1080 res.

another funny thing, is that under HD/SD it reports SEVERAL different 1080p/1080i options with all different resolutions. Like , i can select 1080p, 640x480.

After trying a combination of several different resizing options on the tv and the control panel, i think my tv just doesn't know what to do with the 1080p signal the video card is outputting.

again i ask, is there ANY way i can make nvidia control panel ALWAYS use the 1920x1080 PC resolution instead of the 1080p HD/SD res?

    Thanks for the help!

In the NVCP make the change and then hit Apply
If the setting does NOT hold, the its the EID information from the Monitor that is causing the change.

You -can- create a custom screen resolution (most likely needed) and then custom edit the EID information.
This is extremely technical and will be even more difficult because your Westinghouse monitor is "Bare Bones" and the information will be very hard to find.

It probably can be done, if your willing to put in the effort and time to make it happen.
All depends on how that monitors inputs are setup and the settings.
You need pure progressive scan (non interlaced) with the post processing engine bypassed or set into PC mode.

Since I do not use a TV with post processing, thats about all I can help you with bro sorry....
