I have 2x gtx 680 sc sig 2's in SLI and for some reason unless I have precision x running open/running my fans on my gpu's don't kick in when things start to get hot?

I have no idea why this is the case or is it that I require precision X running to have use of the fans?

To add to this issue, battlefield 3 no longer seems to like the fact I have precision x open and crashes before I get into a game with it running. Or if I close it start the game then alt tab to open precision I get about 5 mins before I crash.

Make sure you have Precision X v3.0.4. I had the BF3 crashing issue when I first got my 680 (and had v3.0.3), but it seems fine now. Do the fans come on at all, or just at a lot higher temps than when Precision X is active? That is normal if they just come on a LOT later than the fan curve set up in Precision X. It is recommended to use the fan curve & Precision X, as the kepler GPU's downclock at 70*C.

Hi thanks for the reply, I have the up to date version of Px.

I just had a go with the OC scanner X software with and without Px running and the fans do seem to increase but very slowly so looks like I may have been wrong regarding the fans not increasing.

I was still getting really bad issues with BF3 so I have uninstalled and re-installed Px and Origin and I am currently re down loading BF3 so it will all be fresh.

If that fails I will go for a windows refresh.

Just to let you all know, if anyone was having the same issues, some how during all of this my BIOS/Over Clock on my CPU had become corrupt and basically was just BSOD'ing when running Intel Burn. A quick BIOS reset and Over clock re-instate and everything is happy again thankfully!
