From what I have heard and read, this has been ongoing for years. Unfortunate, that they would treat customers this way. I have never personally had to use their support. I have used EVGA's support on phone and forums , both top notch [imo]. EVGA has went beyond good to great in both of my experiences with them.

I love Asus products and innovation. I loathe Asus customer service. I swear their motto is "You buy, you like".

Amazon customer service by phone loves to hang up on customers. They place you on hold while they look into the issue, 1-2mins on hold the line goes dead. That happened to me 3 different times.

I mean personally I always had pretty smooth support from ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and EVGA. Few minutes for a phone call or email to support and my issues are worked out. EVGA is pretty good with the shipping situation though.

My last Asus - MB - RMA took several hours on the phone and two e-mails. Had to escalate several times to get them to agree to fix the issue.

The MB was under warranty -- Asus was reluctant to repair / replace

So let me get this straight, the MB was on the market for 10 months and carries a two year warranty, and I have to what............. to get it fixed / replaced under warranty.

It's not shame if someone is fan of some company. And I was fan of EVGA before I saw different standards and bad binning process.
All EVGA motherboards and graphic card models last 2-3 years were fine for me, some more some less and I didn't felt limitation if I choose EVGA.
I even had plan after ROG E-ATX to cross on EVGA mATX, but than I saw other side and I felt very bad and decide to back to ASUS.
It's not shame if someone is fan of EVGA or ASUS or GIGABYTE... Everybody have own reason, maybe someone never had bad experience with that company, maybe someone like look and style of some specific company.... I never recommend someone to buy something because I want to company make more profit...
Only because I like that parts and because I thought they are nice choice for someone depend what he need.

Well I think you need to remember that Asus and MSI are giant companies that sell just about everything but cars, so you're going to get spotty customer service for RMAs.
